It has constant loading screens after loading screens and it looks the same as the first which is not that much demanding.
Yeah I have to say, Silicon Studio has really disappointed on the optimization aspect so far. This game has literally maybe 10x the amount of staff Terra Battle had, but it looks the same in presentation quality, while being worse in every other aspect. Drains more data, loads much more and longer, controls are less precise, even the menus don't feel as smooth. Really hope they improve on it very quickly because this is not a great first look.
I have to agree with this. Game isn't fun either so far. There will definitely be some balancing issue on the way later on considering how battles work right now. Terra Battle 1 is much more about strategy than pulling uber units form the Gacha. Here Enemies can gangbang you in the attack box since they have infinite range and the story decides they can all move at you. Controls on the map don't work well on a phone either so you either bump in a wall or unmagnet a character somewhere.
Played the original in the early days but quit when content dried up, events stopped happening, and there was literally just nothing to do. Did they ever fix this?

You have to go to your inbox to claim your units. No idea why they made it this way...I might be missing something totally obvious, but I pulled 2x with 60 energy (and got all crap) but when I go to my inventory, I don't have anything? Is there something else I'm supposed to do?

Wait, you need to know your User ID as well to recover your account? I thought it was just the code they send you in the email once you register. Man, it would be nice if the game mentions this (maybe they do and I just overlooked it?).Got tired of re-rolling so I decided to go back to one of the better accounts I rolled....except I didn't write down the User ID. I thought it meant my game nickname, and the password that is auto-emailed to you. Wonder if they'd recover it for me if I emailed them...

I hope you can get that account back.
Oh man, I'm sorry. Was that a Z-Class Character + 2x SS ones? If so, I'm sorry for that loss. :/yea in the setting screen there's some alphanumeric code that is your user ID. I didn't write it down before sending the email and getting my password, and wiping the data.
I should have just stayed with it, I had a Z and 2 SS on the same roll. I haven't gotten a Z or SS since, lol.
There's a post in the news stating that it's only applicable to the DMM version. This is what we were told before, and we had hoped that the data would be sync'd across versions so, even if you couldn't understand Japanese, you could download, transfer and redeem the code, and then it would appear on your primary. Since then, it was learned that data IS NOT sync'd between the DMM and mobile versions, and acts kind of like it's own thing (apparently, the DMM version of GBF is also like this). So, while you can download and install the game through DMM, you would be unable to obtain said character on your mobile version.so de we know if we can somehow use dmm chars yet?

So yeah, not good news.
Yeah, I was pretty disappointed myself. I managed an SS character within the first day of the campaign, and considered myself to be so lucky. I was looking forward to the day when TB2 launched so I could try her out, only to have that dream snatched away from me.Wow. More and more bad news for Terra Battle 2.
Gooch please save us.
Definitely start with TB2, as the gameplay (moving enemies) is different compared to TB1, and might feel a bit strange switching between the two after you've become comfortable with it.I'm coming to this series completely fresh. With all the negative feedback, is it better to play the first game instead?
The magnet feature needs a bit of work I think. Movement can be annoying if you don't notice that you lost some party members along the way because of the limited view area of the map, and end up in a battle with just 2 party members. Then you have to go back after that to collect the ones stuck behind a cliff or whatever.
Seems like a no go for me then for now. Long and or frequent loading times in games like this are really anoying because I normally play them in short bursts. I hope they iron things out. The other negative impressions don't help either.Yeah I have to say, Silicon Studio has really disappointed on the optimization aspect so far. We have notified everyone that the maintenance will last until 5:00 AM PDT, however in the interest of addressing lingering issues, we are extending it to 6:00 AM PDT. As an apology for the extended maintenance, we will be adding perks in-game. We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience, and look forward to seeing you in the world of Terra Battle 2.
Well, before the servers went down for maintenance, I was moving my group across the map when suddenly 1 of my units (might be my healer, too) went flying the opposite direction I was going to the opposite corner of the map. Then the game crashed and now I'm wondering if that unit's going to get reamed when I return. Hopefully it was just some visual glitch, otherwise that's probably the worst thing that has happened to me so far with the magnet mechanic.
Terra Battle 2 |OT| Magnets, how do they work?
Love the OT title, lol.
Mission 3 spoilers:
Also, music is so good.

I love the concept of the world map, but the execution so far is so bad. In Terra Battle, every battle was designed. It's purely a SRPG. In TB2 because the enemies can move on the world map, aside from scripted instances it's just a clusterfuck. So either you're so overpowered that being surrounded means nothing, or you are caught by surprise and just die randomly. Silicon Studio whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?
Also, music is so good.
Any idea on the rewards of the Leviathan battle? Some Japanese sites mention getting him as a guardians, or some rare pieces of equipment, but nothing concrete.
I finished Chapter 2 and man, they really need to polish up the glaring problems. The game suffers from serious control, tutorial, interface, and general fun factor problems. They made a game that is most certainly a sequel and evolution to TB in every possible way, but as a huge fan of the original, nothing here is better. It's different, there's more, but it's fundamentally broken and unbalanced from the start in a way that just.... doesn't feel that fun unfortunately.
I don't feel any of the satisfaction and joy I get when I play a good battle in TB1. Instead it feels like a big grindy experience where you fight tons of trash mobs to get a "omg I'm wiping the field" feeling without any real satisfaction. The bosses are pretty poor too. The randomization of battles because of the world map movement really messed this up imo.

Meanwhile, I just... fundamentally disagree?
By way of comparison, I bounced off of Terra Battle hard when it first came out, and the few times I tried to get back into it. It felt slow, the movement felt restrictive, enemies could camp the FUCKING walls or corners, if you didn't have abilities to counter map gimmicks, well, eat shit cupcake, etc.
