I"m still trying to figure out what they were in the Charlton Heston version, Omega Man.

That combat interview sounded awesome. I hope they're able to really nail the AI after how much they've been talking it up, because it sounds great.

I think the UC games have decent Ai,so I think they are expanding on that in a big way.

If all turns out well I like to see UC have the same AI.

Does anyone have a link to a HQ version of the trailer? I'm loading a bunch of trailers onto my PS3 and the version from PSN is kind of sketchy. Gamersyde doesn't seem to have one either.

I like when he talks about AI reactions to someone pulling out a gun and shooting someone. Makes you think that AI is one of the biggest parts of games that could be improved.

Why does this kind of imagery always give me a spiritual hard-on? What is wrong with me?[/QUOTE]

Well, it IS porn afte all, isn'tvsome people before said this kind of imagery is called ruin-porn. ;-)

I wonder if it will be as in depth as I Am Alive from ubisoft. I love how in I am Alive you can bluff by just pointing your gun even if you have no bullet, andenemies can be afraid and beg for mercy etc. Somehow I think last of us won't go that deep, sounds like it will onky affecting enemy strategy during combat, more in cover rather than run straight at you kind of thing.

I hope nd saw that last of us trailer and add those in their games, although they may have to revamp their whole ai behavior they've worked on so far. Assuming nd hasn't already implemented something similar of course.

Why Audio Matters In The Last Of Us
Throughout our month of coverage for The Last of Us, the team at Naughty Dog has stressed the importance of subtlety and intensity both in the story and gameplay. Phil Kovatz is the man responsible for setting that tone with the audio of the game. As the audio lead for The Last of Us, Phil plans on using audio not only to submerge players in the world but also to have a significant impact on how they engage the enemies of the game. Watch the video below to learn how Phil Kovatz's work on everything from God of War 3 to Flow has prepared him to take advantage of the new sound propagation tech to make sure that the audio for The Last of Us leaves a lasting impression.

Yep sound plays a big part in the game, and will be a very useful strategy.

I have to say, Sony studios really do a great job when it comes to picking out a sound for their game. The music always seems to fit the game. I thought the original inFamous was especially good at that, mainly because it was so different from what we usually hear yet it was entirely natural at the same time.

Looking over all of the screens again made me realize something else that they're doing really well with this game. The faces. The expressions are just great. You can really get a sense of what a character is feeling at any given time. The eyes/entire brow region including the upper nose are especially expressive.

Definitely would agree with you there. Music is always top-notch.

Yeah really impressive stuff,I am loving everything they are doing with this game.

I hope the next Just Cause deals with some kind of apocalypse.

First thing I thought of when seeing that image posted by xtrasauce was base-jumping from one of those buildings... or grappling the survivor-hobos to something that explodes. :D

I find the screenshots released so far very impressive. These and the informations we have make me feel genuinely excited about this game. Hope we won't have to wait too long to see it in motion...

At 1st glance one would think this shot is out of Uncharted. Looks like an older version of Nathan Drake.

I actually think the resemblance to Drake is weaker when he's viewed in profile, but there are some shots out there where he very clearly has almost the same nose, same head dimensions, eye spacing, chin and lips, etc.

The people who think that he looks no more like Drake than any random white guy can jump of a bridge.

UC2 put in a fair part of stealth, I'm not surprised to see some of those guys want to go further in that direction. It does seem like something of a natural progression from what ND had been doing.

Haha, I actually dislike this picture. I'm sure it will look amazing ingame, but whoever took the picture did a really bad job at composition. Make it look really dull... don't put everything around the center line of a picture! But I'm sure in action it'll be splendid.

post apocalysed, colorful settings, and there might be a chance the guy is with that girl is because she got something he wants.

What do you think is that "something" that Ellie has and Joel wants?

a) Hard nipple
b) Bloody Tampon
c) Last cup of coffee in existence
d) Ellen Page's diary
e) All of the above
