Neil had ideas for TLOU2 even when they were in early stages of Left Behind.

Put it this way. Neil's desire to make a TLOU sequel couldn't had been more obvious when he started giving talks about how his experience developing the story of TLOU, sense of honesty, creating an awesome female hero, origin story, etc etc. The fact that he was willing to double-duty developing U4 and writing the script for TLOU movie...

He's basically screaming internally how much he wants to make an Ellie sequel.

If they're still doing mocap it's gonna be a spring 2019 release, like GOW, which means it'll be PS4's swan song like the first game was for PS3 before the start of a new console generation.

I always thought mocap is something done more toward the end of dev? U4 mocap was done up to February 2016 and that released May 2016 though granted might be a bad example given previous issues.
