Don't recognize the poster, but it has to be sarcasm. There's no way

Actually, on second thought, not letting this go.
Learn the meaning of the words "more" and "less" why don't you?
Stop.
I am speaking of a comparison to other states regarding the numbers.
The don't attach your rhetoric to the same inane ideas on the level of 'shillary'
There is no evidence that suggest she will install a 'corporatist' on the bench.
It's not a joke when you then bring up Mao, whose policies killed millions of people.

It isn't. Wish it was.
African Americans during the slave years were treated like animals and were breed the same way.
Tried to breed out the "bad" traits such as intelligence.
However, since the civil rights movement which was the real ending of slavery nationwide with laws being passed that prevent the abuse of minorities the intelligence of African Americans is on the rise.
Where the stereotype of dumb blacks that is present in American society stems from.
edit: You know what, I'm not even touching this.It isn't. Wish it was.

It has to do with the way african american slaves were done. They were breed like animals to increase their productivity and lower their intelligence.
That is where genetics come in.

Where are the other states with greater discrepancies? You've still utterly failed to name so much as one.

California? Assuming this is accurate.

But Sanders takes a very fierce stand against police brutality, and he opposed the same "tough on crime" legislation that Clinton lauded and voted for. In addition, extreme poverty affects more black people than police killings do. Why should we only focus on police brutality?

I've been reading the thread the last few days but my god did it go down below the depths of a sewer. What the hell? There's passionate if heated disagreement about candidates and then there's... what happened many posts above.I really thought "Saddam was a progressive" was gonna be the dumbest post I read in this thread today, but it didn't even take five hours to beat it.
I TRULY HATE THIS ELECTION

If Hillary does win the Presidency I hope a few people within the party do attempt to primary her. If we want to be in a position to make permanent, meaningful progress when it comes to campaign finance and gerrymandering the Democratic party needs to dominate at the state level in 2020 to take back legislatures in the census year. Then we will be in a position to go on attack when it comes to partisan districting and campaign finance. I'm not sure Hillary will be able to lead that kind of charge, so I'd like for the party to have options.
I never said we should focus only on police brutality. In fact, I specifically mentioned Trayvon Martin and Renisha McBride, who were not murdered by police.
You asked how Sanders' economic strategy would benefit white people more than black people. I was responding. White people with wealth have more privilege and power in America than black people with the same wealth -- up to a certain threshold where celebrity becomes a factor. Therefor raising the economic status of all people will benefit white people more than it benefits black people. This is why it might not be the most important issue in America to all people, as you suggested.
You said that the tenants of white supremacy are in some way based on the economic status of black people. Are we under the impression that Dylann Roof murdered a state Senator because he thought he seemed poor? White supremacy, I think it would be much more accurate to say, is at least partially rooted in white poverty. That I would agree with. White supremacy is at least partially derived from a competitive atmosphere perpetuated by those in positions of power to find the other equally fucked over person to blame for your situation instead of the ones genuinely responsible. That I could agree with.
But simply focusing on economic disparity will not solve these culturally ingrained issues. How will raising everyone's economic status help gentrification, for example?
And to your point about Sanders: I find it troubling that, while he does speak about racial inequality, I can't recall a single time where he responded to such a question at a town hall or debate without then pivoting back to the same line about more people in jail because of weed than Wall Street.
The problem isn't that he talks about things other than police brutality, but rather that he feels all things must somehow connect back to economic inequality, as though it were the essential root to all that ails our country. This isn't to say that economic disparity isn't important. But to suggest that it must be equally important to everyone -- or that it will benefit everyone equally -- is either supremely disingenuous or comes from a fairly limited perspective.
I think youre going to see us doing and I think the polls indicated it, much better within the African-American community outside of the Deep South, Sanders said. Youre going to see us much better in New York state where I think we have a shot to win, in California and in Michigan.
Well he's not necessarily wrong. Black people in the southern states don't necessarily speak for all black people in the United States.
Let him dream.
You guys are maniacs if you think America was less liberal in 2001 than it was in 1993. Maniacs I tell you. Yes many of his positions were centrist. But they were centrist after three Republican terms.
If America was, say, three steps to the right when Bill came into power, and it was one step to the right when he left power, sure you could say he 'kept' the country center right, but he left the country further to the left than it was when he was elected.
No he didn't leave it a liberal utopia, but he left it better in more metrics than he left it worse.
They're smarter?JESUS FUCKING CHRIST THIS THREAD O_O
Why does Sanders thinks he'll do better in other states with the AA community? He didn't put forth a rational or reason in this article that you linked. Is he just doing wishful thinking?
Sure but what's different about them that might make them favor Sanders? If he has a hypothesis he should put it forth. I'm genuinely curious.

Just wow at this list you've put together for causes of racial inequality. Genetics? Really?
Plenty of Americans are ready for a far left candidate. It's just that a certain segment of the population isn't "ready."At this stage in American politics you have to be seen as Center left or right. Maybe in the next 10 years America will be ready for a far left candidate but not right now.

Genes determine your skin colour... and I'm pretty sure skin colour has something to do with racial inequality. If one day the majority of people are mixed race, then racial inequality should be a thing of the past, because all our genes would give a similar skin colour
As for the other items in my list, a poor upbringing (e.g when parents teach their children to use racial slurs) will cause more racial inequality. A poor education (e.g when teachers pretend the civil war wasn't about slavery) will cause more racial inequality. A poor culture (e.g when police disproportionately arrest minorities) will cause more racial inequality. A poor media (e.g when outlets like Fox News compare BLM to the KKK) will cause more racial inequality.
Guys please, leave the genetics thing alone, there's not going to be any good way to defend it
Whats crazy is this shit was predicted last spring, and him and his team did nothing to head it off.The problem is that a lot of the issues Bernie is championing just don't resonate outside of his core group of supporters. I believe Bernie has lost the "who best handles healthcare" question in every state except New Hampshire. He's not winning the messaging race, regardless of the race of the voters. He was also destroyed on the "Do you trust Bernie Sanders to handle an international crisis?" question last night. I think part of this is his laser focus on his two or three major issues. That's respectable, but he really, really needed to branch out before now.
His arguments, for whatever reason, just aren't making inroads where he needed to.
