That means MS already talked to partners about their plans. Good.
Looks like a focus on more Digital content then. Makes sense, would be easy to block used games that way.

Gamestop has info but isn't sharing.

So if they Focus more on digital content, does this means Gamestop will suffer in the financial side.
sure, go for it.New thread worthy?
exclusive bonus items when bought instore?Really? You got all of that from that message?
There are things they can do to try and stay relevant, such as selling download code cards instead of physical copies, but I imagine most wouldn't bother when they can just purchase the game from their homes.
The controller, according to Kotaku sources, actually seems quite similar to the current Xbox 360 one. Same two analog sticks in the same upper-left/lower-right position, same positioning of the d-pad and face buttons and forward and back buttons. Triggers. Bumpers. Top-center power button. It all seems to be the same, though we can't tell if any of these buttons have been improved--if, say, the d-pad responds more crisply, if the triggers pull more deeply, and so on. The new controller, as we reported more than a year ago, is apparently a little smaller than the existing 360 one. It's still the same basic shape, perhaps with refined contours. It's more or less what people are used to.
The new controller doesn't have any major new input interfaces either, from what we understand. No new buttons and certainly no added screen like the Wii U controller has nor a baked-in touchpad like the PS4's.
Good quality shows attract stars. Everything about the Halo mini-series screams of shoestring budget and it's no where near comparable to House of Cards. Not even close.

Don't know if this is the right place, but it's the most active Durango-Thread I think.
Here is a new analysis from someone about the PS4-GPU vs Durango-GPU.
Sounds good for Durango, if he's right.

I hope this wasn't discussed already.
Not to be confused with the SIMD on Cayman (which is a collection of SPs), the SIMD on GCN is a true 16-wide vector SIMD. A single instruction and up to 16 data elements are fed to a vector SIMD to be processed over a single clock cycle. As with Cayman, AMD’s wavefronts are 64 instructions meaning it takes 4 cycles to actually complete a single instruction for an entire wavefront. This vector unit is combined with a 64KB register file and that composes a single SIMD in GCN.
One thing that we do know is that FP64 performance has been radically improved: the GCN architecture is capable of FP64 performance up to ½ its FP32 performance.
Each GCN SIMD has 10 wavefronts to choose from, meaning each CU in turn has up to a total of 40 wavefronts in flight. This in a nutshell is why AMD is moving from VLIW to non-VLIW SIMD for Graphics Core Next: instead of VLIW slots going unused due to dependencies, independent SIMDs can be given entirely different wavefronts to work on.

From various leaked rumors about MS blocking used games, and having an always-online console, and GameStop witholding Digital Goals figures/projections, yeah, not too difficult to come up with that conclusion.

I saw that ex-UBI guy in TGFC(that chinese tech forum) talked about the same thing 2 days ago
"上周五项目收到了第一批Durango的Beta Kit,主机超大一个白盒子,新手柄。而且主机和手柄都贴着不规律黑色的胶带条纹,就和新车发布前的伪装似的。"
(Last Friday received the first batch of Durango Beta Kit,console is a huge white box,and new controller.Console and controller are plastered with irregular black stripes tape, like camouflage a new car before announce.)
But i didn't post it because it's from April 1 and he said it's dual APU lol
"最重要的是,Beta Kit竟然里面有两个APU,就和之前部分软饭猜测的一样。我操,这下猛了。"
(Most important thing is,the beta come with 2 APU,just like some MS fans guess.fuck that's crazy)
There have been rumors of both MS and Sony blocking used games.
so why does withholding goals have to be negative? they can not announce a positive projection either if they are keeping things to themselves until MS announces..
holy shit.http://club.tgfcer.com/thread-6638884-1-1.html

Yeah man... Indeed.
2 apu's means 2 video cards? Sounds pretty fake.

This also leaked on April 1st...

Strange how we have 2 different sources talking about the stripes on the controller...
If you think this is fake, the entire Kotaku article would be fake as well.
Always-online looks to be a feature of both MS and Sony, but for some reason it's only associated with blocking used games on Durango.
What graphical advantage would 2 APUs provide, regardless of whether this is true or not?
Maybe a new thread?
According to "BClifford" 2 1.2TF APUs
2 apu means 2 separate graphic processing units, which means they need some sort of crossfire to use the full power of the GPU's. Crossfire adds complexity with not much advantage over one GPU so I doubt this is true.

However... We don't know exactly what's in the new Beta kits. It's a bit too early to come to that conclusion. It's still a rumor anyway.

The most important thing is, Beta Kit actually there are two APU, and before some of the soft rice guess. Fuck, this fierce. The past few days I have been busy, just time to send a post.
new thread this.

True, but I really don't understand the advantage of having 2 apu's vs combining the cpu part of the apu into one cpu, going with a beefier video card, and combining those parts into one apu. One apu would be easier to code for, and not have crossfire issues.
If you can think of any, I'd love to hear it.
