I can understand why they gave you a break between Ghirahim and Demise, but if the game made you fight Demise right after, it would have definitely contributed to a more epic feeling.

The only reason Minish Cap is considered by some to be the first is because of the hat, which is stupid.
It's the first in the "Four Sword" games, yes, but I'm not convinced for the rest of the timeline.
Besides, with SS, Minish Cap can't be first, since in MC Hyrule has a name and a king already, which SS doesn't.

Well I'd take this explanation too. The Zelda games are really great as Stand-Alone, so it shouldn't be a problem. It's just us really loving fanwanking a bit too much. Its almost like Nintendo doesn't give much thought to the timeline!

Ganondorf takes over Zelda's body
Link defeats puppet Zelda with the help of Midna.
Ganondorf reforms as beast ganon
Link defeats beast ganon, they set the corpse on fire
Ganon returns in god form, Midna blows up Hyrule Castle
Ganondorf crushes Midna's magical helmet, kills(?) her
Ganondorf comes rushing towards you with his dark warriors of sorts
Zelda prays for the spirits to help, the Spirits give Zelda the light arrows, Link shows his loyalty
Link and Zelda defeat Ganondorf on horseback
Ganondorf stands up again, challenges Link to a duel
Ganondorf gets stabbed in the chest
Zant breaks his own neck(?), taking Ganondorf with him
Ganondorf slowly dies, yet does not fall
Midna is revived by the Light Spirits
Not even fan fiction manages to be this epic.
None of the final battle in TP felt epic to me. It felt like a rushed hodgepodge of disjointed ideas. The only part where it started to feel epic was when Link and Ganon crossed swords. SS would have been more intense without the break between Ghirahim and Demise, but that was the most epic fight sequence since Wind Waker's amazing final boss.[Nintex];33106983 said:Perhaps, but still Twilight Princess has a boss battle sequence unlike any other game.

WHAAAAAAAT?!!!
No, SS has an amazing ending, but if your talking about final boss sequences TP has the best (THE BEST) out of any game to date. Hell even outside the Zelda series.
It was like boss fight after boss fight after boss fight, it never stopped. Everyone was different and completely epic in it's own way.
If you are talking about single boss fights (for instance, Demise versus Ganondorf) then I'd agree, SS was better. If you are talking about the ending as a whole (including final dungeons + story) then I also think SS is better.
But final sequence vs. sequence, no I'm sorry, TP is unbeatable in that regard.
I was too busy using my sword as a lightning rod and slinging lightning around to noticeYeah, I can understand the cookie-cutter argument.
However, let us also compare the music --

TP's ridiculously amazing, yet un-orchestrated final boss music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzB_ZcTvBmk#t=5m50s

SS's great beginning, but pretty bad final boss music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StpCyoK25OQ
No, it's definitely not the attachment to Ganon's theme that I like about TP's final boss music. I agree that I was too busy being a boss to notice SS's music in-game (except the beginning), however, the choral voices are so bad -- I really hate Nintendo's choice in choir, they just sound bad.I was too busy using my sword as a lightning rod and slinging lightning around to notice
Actually SS's final boss is fine and appropriately epic. It just doesn't have the emotional attachment you have to Ganon's theme.
If only this was orchestrated: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FODTJjiDtK0

I'll give ya the musics at the end. TP definitely comes out the victor in that regard.

Oh I'm with you on the fight. The fuck are you guys on? SS as the most epic final boss music since OoT. When Demise races back up and the lightning strikes down, you know shit just got real. SS had the final boss that TP wishes it had, and none of this quarter heart hits nonsense either.
Oh I'm with you on the fight.
The entire thing was... pardon the term, epic.
But I kind of liked the TP boss fight music.
Everything else to me goes completely in SS favor. Hell it was even a much harder fight than TP... but still not as challenging as his sword just a boss battle before.
Somebody post that Persona3/Skyward Sword mockup pick again. There are so many 'bachelorettes' on Skyloft, I'm surprised there wasn't some sort of relationship management.
Oh it will be, if we could get Nintendo to do some special soft emulation for WiiU.*Dolphin pics*
Shots like this just spit in Nintendo's face. Look what you could have been, Wii. Look!
It probably would be better if Nintendo used samples that weren't still being used in the N64 days. But you're saying Demise's first form was harder than his second?

Glad you enjoyed them! I had no problem playing and beating the game on Wii and enjoyed the experience immensely, but I'm definitely looking forward to going through Hero Mode emulated. So many sequences I'm looking forward to grabbing screens of...Thank you for the beautiful shots ExMachina.
To be fair, PC gaming does that to most console games.Shots like this just spit in Nintendo's face. Look what you could have been, Wii. Look!

Hell yes! Koloktos made me go "wow" multiple times! On topic... I think Koloktos was my favorite boss fight aside from the Ghirahim battles.

I didn't exactly find any of his forms particularly difficult. SwordMan was trickier. It probably would be better if Nintendo used samples that weren't still being used in the N64 days. But you're saying Demise's first form was harder than his second?
Did anyone else get an insane Castle in the Sky feel from this game? The flying city, the robots, the relationship between Link and Zelda... I mean, link even catches her while falling, just like the scene in Castle.
Also, the scene where the Goddess Statue falls is so reminiscent of the scene in Castle where Laputa falls apart. It helps that the art style kind of evokes Miyazaki in some slight ways.

Compared to this:
Or this:
It's not even close.
the koloktos battle
1. oh hey, that's kind of neat
2. well if you're standing up, i'm standing up
3. I AM EVERYTHING
I just noticed all of the sage emblems lined up above the entrance to the Sealed Temple after you return the Statue of the Goddess to Hyrule, and I gotta say, that's pretty awesome. I noticed Shadow, Spirit, and Light when the Statue was still in Skyloft, but I didn't realize the rest were always down below.
I also like how you can see Eldin Volcano/Death Mountain in the background when you're looking at the front of the temple.
Using his swords against him was almost cathartic. He kept revitalizing so many times that I was just like "GAH, DIE ALREADY TAKE THIS AND THAT AND THIS AND THAT" as I whacked away at him with a bigass sword.
So true. Wailing on that thing with it's swords felt pretty good.
It does make me wonder what they end up doing with the temple of time area in the desert.

When I saw the goddess statue entrance and the sealed temple in previews, I noticed they both had half a dome. So the first thing I did when I went to go meet Zelda at the start of the game was to look at the dome and I saw 3 sage medallions and half of the triforce. I was pretty sure where I would find the other half
