‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ (+33%) becomes the 5th Call of Duty game to claim the coveted Christmas No1 with a well-timed promotion on the PS4 version helping it leapfrog ‘FIFA 15’ (+8%).

Last year ‘FIFA 14’ pulled off a similar trick, sneaking ahead of ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’at the last minute to claim the festive top spot and it appears that Activision Blizzard were set on exacting revenge in 2014. ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ (+16%) holds on to No3 while the PS4 version remains the top selling game for an individual format this week.

‘Far Cry 4’ (+17%) is also a non-mover at No4, meaning it is Ubisoft’s top selling game over the festive week, despite a 97% surge in sales of ‘Assassin’s Creed: Unity’ pushing it up from No10 to No5 as well as a huge price promotion on Ubisoft’s ‘The Crew’ boosting sales by 92% and propelling it from No11 to No6. The average selling price of the PS4 version of ‘The Crew’ is down around £15 from last week. ‘Destiny’ (+32%) climbs two places to No7, while the Xbox version of Minecraft (+14%) remains ahead of the Playstation edition (+10%), both down one place to No’s 8 and 9 respectively. ‘Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham’ (-11%) slips 5 places to No10 to round off the Christmas Top 10.

Wow, that's rather surprising. DC is still going strong it seems.

MS and retailers alike decided against bundling it for some reason.

Drive Club <3 Awesome to see that people are buying it.

Or buying consoles that have the game bundled, which is basically all of the bundles currently available.

Still, it's helped to get the game in more people's hands, so it's probably not such a bad thing.

Time will tell if the IP is strong enough to stand on its own...

GTA on top, again, gotta buy it one of these days. Weird that Dragon age isn't even charting. It's nowhere near as good as DA:O but miles better than 2.

Complete PlayStation domination in Sweden and Spain, no Xbox One games charting at all.

UK doing the better for Xbox but Top 10 still leading on PS4, taking 5 of the 10 spots.

Halo surprising me with a fall from #9 to #24.

If dc being sold is essentially all bundles, technically wouldn't it be possible to tell how much the ps4 is selling if we get numbers for dc?

Must say I'm tempted by Driveclub, those gifs can't be ignored...shall see if any amazon or GAME vouchers arrive for me at Christmas first

Driveclub is holding on well in the UK.
Edit: I know a lot of it is bundles but word of mouth surrounding the game seems to be improving.

Good to see DriveClub doing okay. Thought it was an absolute goner at launch. Feared for Evolution too.

In UK it was not even stocked in many shops - must of not shipped many to retailers ?

I bought it online (ps4 UK) last week when it came back in stock

The Wii still sells software around the world, this fiscal year (April 2014 - September 2014) they shipped 6.180.000 software units.

Nintendo forecasted 9.000.000 software units until March 2015 (for this fiscal year), but I think that's too low, they already sold 4.580.000 from July to September.

You think?

There's loads of bundles, Argos been heavily promoting 2-3 game bundles heavily recently, like the Minecraft one which doesn't have DC. And also the LBP3 bundle is widely available.

But there are a fair few bundles with DC for sure.

The most competitive bundles all feature DC.

Are people really trying to convince themselves the game is selling well by itself and not because of how heavily it's bundled?

Amazing lol. I said the same thing in last weeks thread. It is obvious the majority of PS4 bundles include the Druveclub pack in.

The 999% sales boost the game received the same week it was heavily bundled leads me to believe its current success is almost entirely driven by bundles.

are you really convinced that the game is only selling because of bundles is the real question. weather updates, ps4 share, word of mouth (rip hindle), being the only next gen looking racing game on ps4 etc... doesn't have any effect

Lol The Crew went to half price less than a week after launch and the PS4 version scraped into the Top 10.

Well the second week it was out before it was bundled, it was dropping like a stone. We'll know if we get some PS4 unit numbers though as it's actually hard to buy a PS4 without DriveClub at this point.

BrunoMB I guess you missed it but in the previous thread I posted new links to Norwegian and Nordic (which I guess is Sweden+Norway+Finland, maybe Denmark too) charts. No idea when they get updated though.
