Confused by a lot of this announcement tbh. I'm guessing the characters are being replaced with Kurokumas and shirokumas to avoid showing characters and teasing they'll be good/bad characters?

the vita is going to turn five years old in 2016. it's almost as old as the 3ds. it's basically run its course as a viable platform.

Yeah, because that prevented them from bringing over all the other DanganRonpa Vita games? These types of games are simply better played on a portable system.
