Unless you've been playing video games for less than a year, I will never understand why people even bother to complain about CGI trailers anymore. They're a staple of marketing and will be until the end of time, no matter how good real-time footage is. Just enjoy it for what it is, a trailer to build hype and hint at things to come in the actual game.

I don't care about hype. I want to see what changes have been made in this entry compared to the last. It's fine to tell me about them in a press release but it's different actually seeing them in motion.

Right now the way it sounds is that this game is going to play almost identically to the last ones save for the bat mobile bit. If that's the case that's not nearly enough to get me excited about a 4th entry in the series in 5 years.

Looks like batman with a fast car. For some reason I wish a game had an original villain or something, something to shake things up more than just "batmobile".

I mean, I'm sure it will be quality. It just looks like the batman game anyone could have predicted. Of course, maybe I'm dwelling too much on an initial trailer with no gameplay.

I just can't get excited about a CG trailer, especially for a game that will probably be exactly like the other ones but with marginally nicer graphics. Show me some gameplay!

You know what would validate this trailer?

Have Bruce Wayne die at the end, truly end the Arkham series once and for all. That will and testament would gain even more meaning if Batman bites the dust doing what he loved, buying expensive gaudy armor and driving in his super car. Of course there will be other Batman games, but Bruce dying would be a satisfying conclusion.

That voice over was so cringeworthy.

These CG trailers are cool and all, but they need to show off gameplay. I really hope they found a way to make it feel fresh cause after 2 games I'm already tired of it.

I'm...not sure. I liked Origins more than most, but that's because franchise fatigue hadn't really set in yet for me. After three games of this though, I think I'll wait and see more about the gameplay before I get excited.

Rocksteady says high. All two of their Arkham games were top notch, they can surely deliver the perfect finale.

It has nothing to do with the developer, I was pointing out CG trailers aren't good as representatives of the game itself. The Origins trailer was a scenario inspired by the story that didn't actually happen and had nothing that made it's way into actual gameplay. Basically, not a lot of actual use outside of spectacle. Same with Assassin's Creed IV, IIRC.

I was really hoping that this would be a Justice League game, hopefully they announce that further down the line.

Can not wait to see what they come out with for a special edition, the Batman games always have great special editions.

If the only improvement was marginally nicer graphics, the game would be released for the PS360 as well.

do you guys really want an open world game to be on first gen unreal 4 tech? You save your open world stuff for later down the line unless you want a broke ass game.

And lawd help me if this game has time trials in the batmobile to pad out content...

Anyhow hope it plays ok.

Real curious if ANY physx stuff will carry over to the console versions (it is a given pc version will have physx stuff right?)

Maybe Nvidia won't be able to moneyhat this as easily and we'll see any additional physics processing done via an open format....

I hope they aren't changing the previous art-style to this trailer's off-brand "Batman Begins" stuff. If they do, I'm cancelling my hype.

I skipped Origins, and with Arkham Knight coming I'll gladly just wait it out until fall. The trailer was okay. Not a fan of rendered reveals.

Not every great developer has to work on original IP. Sometimes working on licensed games has its upside. Personally, I wish more well known developers would take up licenses to couple alongside their original IP. It may make surviving this new expensive generation more bearable.

Incredible trailer. So hyped right now.

Think it also hints at just how fluid it will be to enter/exit batmobile for combat/traversal.

How did you get all that from a CGI trailer?

Will get Wii U version if there is a miracle, if not PC it is.

Nice trailer, but would like to see some gameplay, at least a quick glimpse.

With Joker
dead
he's already dead inside... may as well finish the job!

Theyve pretty much perfected the Arkham designs, by leaning them all out a bit....I wonder what their philosophy was with character and world designs? They fit very well together

Agreed. I think they're going to provide some decent reasoning behind the fallout of Joker's death in this game and what the hell is going on. Plus, if they kill off Bruce in this game, it opens up the universe to Dick Grayson (my personal favorite DC character) or Terry McGinnis as Batman.
