Looks like a mod or an expansion for bf4 to me. this is gonna be a full priced game, right? Even BF4 looked like an BF3.5 to me, nothing near the jump von Bad Company 2 to BF3

"In cooperation with DICE". My bet is Visceral doing mainly the SP, while DICE is a least doing a part of the MP (like they did with the Medal of Honor reboot).

I'm thinking this trailer was made earlier, given the codename, before they realized how potentially toxic any DICE association is/will be.

If this game has respawning and all that it will just be Battlefield with different models for the enemies.

If they take it in a new, more creative direction then I'll be interested. Doesn't look that way from the trailer.

So im guessing that this is a prequel to Infamous Second Son or something, has to be, there's no way the writers of this game thought it would be a good idea to hire the exact same actor to act like a cop....again..*cough* hi Reggie *cough*

Impressions
1.Good to see them finally using this engine to make cutscenes that aren't just in first person.
2.Have no idea what they're talking about when they refer to Dead Space as "amazing storytelling." I played all 3 games, definitely not amazing storytelling in any sense of the word.
3.So both Call of Duty AND Battlefield this year are going to be using actors from House of Cards. That's hilarious, although it gives me lots of hope in the acting.
4.The stuff that they're saying you'll be able to do in the SP mode is very exciting. It seems like they're making an effort instead of making environment destruction porn through scripted set pieces.
5.It really seems like they're making an effort to shake up the multiplayer too.
I'm definitely liking what i'm seeing in this trailer. Super refreshing to see them go away from the modern military plot and environments.

There are literally sounds, animations, and models copy pasted over from Battlefield 4. This is what you get when you annualize a title. This is not good for the franchise or the name.

The singleplayer may very well end up something decent but those multiplayer sections couldn't have looked more generic or boring if they tried.

Don't care at all. Multiplayer sections looked really nice to me. Singleplayer is a waste of time and effort cause I don't play singleplayer shooters. They are too easy and can't give me the joy of human competition.

Just watched it, here's my opinion:

- I absolutely welcome the new setting. I'm sick of warring with Russians, Arabs or Chinese.

- single player looks fun, better than any other BF game released so far . I laughed my ass off when I heard "what are you, a cocaine rain man?" line. Also, there is much more variety in the way you can play a SP than any BF title before.

- general game mechanics wise, MP gameplay looks like your standard BF3/4 game (like a glorified mod), nothing revolutionary new

- Hotwire/Bank Heist modes look like shitload of fun

- graphically, it looks worse than BF4, featuring plenty of aliasing (temporal) and surprisingly lower quality character models than BF4

- destruction is better than ever

Yeah, same. Middle-East, China vs. US is getting a bit stale. Then again, I play BF for multiplayer.

Graphically, I doubt the game will look like this from release. From what I know, the video that got leaked now is the internal video marketing used to showcase at EA in Feb (or was it March), along with a few other high-profile games. This is also the same reason why EA doesn't want these stuff to leak; people will/are judging it based on a half-cooked trailer.

I don't know why you'd think this is BF4 with a new coat of paint. A new, decent, large scale MP sounds much more like a new Battlefield game to me. This seems different enough.
The problem is that it looks too much like Battlefield thanks to the engine and the recycling of weapon models.

Depending on the reception this gets on release (fan feedback, gameplay, servers, etc) it might be worth picking up in a Black Friday sale. But no game with Battlefield in the title will ever be a day one, full price purchase for me again.
