Eh, it is a preference thing. I want as little aliasing as possible in my games. I prefer it to be as clean as possible. Having super clean IQ is also good for competitive reasons. Sadly, no games have perfect edges and polycounts are generally low. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

i agree with everything youre saying...but i dont think the guy is crazy for wanting a more realistic look to things either...

The thing I'm noticing in the gameplay screen shots is that there does not seem to be a whole lot more geometry in the character models Looks very good overall, but you can tell it's a PS3 game.

You're either trolling, or haven't played the PS3 version in a while. There are blatant improvements to texture quality, anisotropic filtering, shadows and character models. Not to mention the resolution and AA.

Also, it's running at 60 fps (and as you mentioned, the boost to 1080p)

True, but I still remember it looking like the screenshot I posted on my TV, even after being upscaled to 1080p. The shimmering around the eyes and the more prominent jaggies everywhere.

Nevermind, you can still tell the character model is improved, especially when you zoom in on it. Them 1080p beard hairs.

I recall the game being very finicky about what areas had proper lighting or not when you activated your flashlight. Have they changed it so that your flashlight always casts shadows regardless of what area you are in?
