I am very interested, if you play more, please post some more impressions. Still too hesitant because of the price tag.
Heyo, you there. Mobile gamer. Sorcery was a great suggestion. I started it up on my train ride today and easily killed 3 hours of time with the first part for the first time through. Probably going to do at least another run, which might end up taking me 1-2 hours to get a better outcome, but its a pretty sweet and engaging game with a surprising amount of choices for the player.
The game has some incredibly obvious drawbacks, like not being designed around true book adventure style difficulty, which means most of the game is laughably easy and always lets you progress one way or the other, and even if you die, you can just retry over and over again, same with some difficult fights that are meant to kill you (you know which one I mean) over and over again. Its not quite "fair" or interesting in the balancing itself, but... and here comes the good stuff:
The amount of choices on the path and in the magic systems is very, very engaging. I was constantly trying to see which spells I could use to suit which situation. Fall into a pit of snakes, how about you levitate out of there? Or you could throw a pebble that you can make explode, or simply cast a giant spell to give you more strength. Or how about that spell to make the snakes friendly. Etcetcetc, not all of those are always at our disposal, and the game has some artificial limiters for its magic system, but its very, very well integrated and incredibly fun to explore the first time around, especially because of the dynamic text descriptions that take many old decisions or your choices into account.
Very fun, unfortunately only on mobile, but HIGHLY recommended on the fun scale, even if the difficulty is a bit lacking. One of those rare games, where I dont actually mind the missing difficulty that much to be honest.
