It really was. I was expecting some more world ending jutsu's. Instead we got a weak flashback and then she disappears.

I imagine the real final boss will probably either Madara or sauce.

Man. Kaguya was so underwhelming it's sad. And Black Zetsu didn't end up doing anything except being the chatterbox.

And Madara is back. But yeah, I can see the Rinne Tensei coming like nothing since Obito didn't get to do that.

If Kaguya is the "final boss", well, definitely one of the worst I've seen.

But what about Spiral Zetsu? He seems to have vanished, unless I missed something.

The pacing for the past few years has been that of a guy trying to bum rush towards an ending, if he wanted to do a part 3 the perfect time would have been after Pain got beaten.

I just can't come to terms with the fact that Naruto is ending. The only anime I started watching post middle school that has ended was Code Geass, and that wasn't a long running show. Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece have all been ongoing since then. The last time I felt like this was when DBZ ended.

It's been 4 years since the war started. All of Dragon Ball from beginning through raditz's arrival took that long.

Look at how things have been introduced over that time and compare it to before. Almost all of the recent developments have come out of nowhere. Prior to the end of the Pain arc there was actual foreshadowing, it wasn't always good but it was there. This arc may have taken forever but that's partly down to how rushed the planning of it was. The war arc should have been two or three different arcs. When you look at the pacing of the chapters and how long it would have taken to get to this point properly, its absolutely been rushed.

Snake sage is pretty OP which he would of learned inside kabutos body, even with all the current powerups

Naruto is still massively popular worldwide. I'm sure tons of fans want to see what happens to these characters when they get older. It wouldn;t be possible to see this in Shippuuden unless they shoe horned a massive time skip for the last episode. Thats why I hope a third series is actually happening.

I still don't think this new era project is a part 3. I'm thinking it's more of an extended epilogue that might include more than one movie or something.

I'll be honest, I want more. Not of what is happening now but I wouldn't mind being introduced to the characters again a bit in the future and catching up with them spending time with them. Maybe one more arc to see how everyone has developed. Then end it.
