Showing other cultures being gross doesn't somehow magically make this not gross. We're all gross together, I guess.
Joke aside, graphic is CG level stuff.
I hope this is real and not some target render.
Yeah if you want to compare one dance routine in a music video to the amount of school girl themes in Japanese culture.
you can defend it all you want, but there is no way you can equate the sheer amount of media using the same theme.
Now make a Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball game with it.
What if you have 2 units that worked together...
Firstly, school girl themes are not a dominant part of any gaming or pornographic industry anywhere in the west. Yes you can view similar western stuff if you look for it, but you can also find scat porn if you are that way inclined.
Secondly "just 18" is still at least legal age.
Thirdly if E3 was filled with little girls in school uniforms id say the same thing. Its creepy and I dont understand why people try to defend it. Why do school girls feature in so much japanese media?
No it's not. There are even western nations with lower birthrates not to mention other Asian neighbours of Japan. It already has... The birth rate percentage is the smallest out of any 1st world country and this is going to ensure 0 babies will ever be born in Japan ever again.
Hail our waifu overlords. They will destroy human civilizations, one senpai at a time.
No one's defending anything. We're correctly pointing out your hypocrisy.
Im a hypocrite because I find the sheer amount of media coming from japan with this theme worrying?
You had to pull out a music video from 1998 to attempt a rebuttal. Think about that for a moment.

I like the school girl thing. I think the danger with video games is that you can design characters that look questionably young and just say they're not underage. And then you can allow people to play out their fantasy of interacting with these questionably young looking girls. The fact that things are mainstream to such a degree is the worrying thing. I see a propensity for Japanese girls to act very cutesy and innocent(young, in other words), which is likely a result of this being what a lot of Japanese men find attractive. This does not happen in the west very much. We of course are not totally clean in all moral standings, but it seems to be far more deep rooted and extensive in Japan than it is here.Everyone likes school girls. We allow that sort of imagery in our videos. They allow it in their games.
This is exactly the issue. Take Snatcher, in the Japanese version, the girls are younger. Nothing has changed, it's exactly the same graphics, they just aged them up so him sniffing her underwear is slightly less perverted with her being an adult.I like school girls. I think the danger with video games is that you can design characters that look questionably young and just say they're not underage.
I don't think anyone could last beyond a tech demo.calm your horses, this is just gonna be a tech demo to be shown in TGS.
Tho I wouldn't mind it to go beyond that just for some lulz.
Your opinion about the output of the Japanese media industry is highly off-topic.
This looks better than anything I've seen in DK2 so far.
Teach her, I dunno. What are you supposed to do?
Supervise her?

play a good fighting game, like street fighter
Everyone's worst fear about VR confirmed.
If people are gonna let one mildly perverted game ruin their image on a piece of technology, then we are a sorry lot indeed. Though this type of game is not exactly my "thing", I'm kind of glad they are not shy to showcase products like these. It further solidifies the message that their platform is "for everyone", which I'm sure is something all console manufactures are trying to achieve.I guess it's good that Sony is fine with introducing a product to a specific demographic and not immediately expect mainstream appeal, but I wonder if this might be detrimental to how people see the technology.
Eh. There I disagree. Maybe not as big part of pornographic industry here as in japan but still very big subgenre as you can find tons of videos from every major porn site and they are popular too. Also despite yes 18 is legal limit it still plays with the same idea '' just 18, almost like teen!'' so I just don't see the huge difference. Technically that Japanese school girl can also be 18 as you can be 18 and in high school. Also like some posters have pointed out it also really just weirds me how these games always raise huge outcries but then at the same time we get next massacre simulator and people don't even blink an eye. We really are used to kill things.

Sony to become world's largest corporation confirmed. It prints money(tm).
Whoops. I equated their aging population to low birthrates, but that was false equivalence on my part. Their the only country with a shrinking younger demographic and an increasing older demographic.
This pretty much.
Dating simulators already freak me out and VR is only making it worse. If people already marry their DSs how will they react to something like this?
It's one thing to battle a dragon in VR and is other to pretend to have a girlfriend in the same environment.
