What the hell do you mean, "just games"? Eff off with that attitude. This is kinda disappointing because as Oculus' competitor, Sony had a lot of people's attention. But officially endorsing this seems incredibly immature and will no doubt reduce Morpheus in many people's minds to just games - and creepy ones at that.
More like...they just don't get it.double standards
The same way that a school girl creates more outcry on NeoGaf than another genocide simulation.
I don't see that. I think teens in general dress fairly 'sexy' nowadays in general, so just having them dolled up a bit at times isn't necessarily out-of-line or anything. And its not necessarily 'acceptable', either. Often when its done in comedies or whatever, there is often a point of the uncomfortable nature of it in the story lines.I don't know - explicit-sexualization of teens is very common-place in holywood "family" comedies, can it actually get "more" mainstream then that?
It seems like people aren't offended with the ideas of it at all - just that presentation needs to be formatted so it fits their acceptance criteria (eg. comedy teen sex is ok - cutesy titillation teen sex isn't).
I agree with this, for the most part. There's a lot of bigger things to worry about with VR. If anything, dating sims or sexually suggestive(or even not suggestive at all, but straight porn!) can help push VR. Is there the risk that it becomes a focal point of what VR is? Sure, but so long as there are a good amount of more 'wholesome' experiences on offer to make a counterpoint with, it shouldn't hurt anything. My worst fear about VR is that it will be expensive, or unreliable to the point it slinks back into obscurity.
This? If people want it, then good luck to them and I hope it is good. I spend a lot of time posting on a gaming forum about all kinds of stuff so I'm not one to point fingers.
Joke aside, graphic is CG level stuff.
I hope this is real and not some target render.
What happens when the human brain experiences that much stimuli?
I have no idea.
Maybe you choose mum/dad before you start. So, I'm guessing the girl's parents are conveniently out of town/at work.
Maybe you choose mum/dad before you start.
Ok mum/dad/other.Do you mean, play as the mum and dad? The girl calling you senpai eliminates that possibility.
Those will come so relax. We already have some great stuff already lined up for morpheus. I can see what the video implies but it's Japan and its that quirky stuff they do.They could've done other non violent, more interesting things though. Like a fantasy theme park, or just a street in Japan that you could explore.
real but it Looks good because everything is pre baked on the textures.

I'm refering to this whole setup reading like a very common hentai premise.Maybe you choose mum/dad before you start.

Touché.Pretty sure, even if SL ends as game it wouldn't include vitural sex. So it's pretty pointless to talk about that.
And every situation where a boy and girl are in the same is a very common hentai/porn premise.

Pretty sure that's not how you can win the Japanese audience. Social interaction with an AI character is even from a technolgy standpoint pretty big.
That's just not true, sorry. You guys are hilarious. Attacking schoolgirl fetishization like its some weird gross shit when every porn star ever is "a teen".
We both have been corrupted by the internet :-(Also, the title thread misspelling makes me think the game is called "Summer Lesbian". :/
Fucking perverted and borderline predatory in my view.
I will never understand Japans obsession with school girls.
That's just not true, sorry.
You can love people in real life but you can't battle dragons
At the end of the day, it's all just fantasy. So long as it doesn't influence you to do something harmful to other people in real life, I don't see any problem with indulging in these kind of things. You guys are hilarious. Attacking schoolgirl fetishization like its some weird gross shit when every porn star ever is "a teen". Same shit. These just come with cute uniforms.
This pretty much.
Dating simulators already freak me out and VR is only making it worse. If people already marry their DSs how will they react to something like this?
It's one thing to battle a dragon in VR and is other to pretend to have a girlfriend in the same environment.

So what is the premise of the game? I've seen the .GIFs but haven't actually watched the pre-conference.
Are you essentially trying to woo the girl, or are you trying to pass a test at the end, or what? They do go out of their way to show a female player interacting with the tutor(?), so I'm guessing the net objective isn't necessarily to seduce the other...?
It's a headset you put on to block out everything and everyone around you in order to jump into fantasy lands. How social was VR in your mind before this game was announced?perpetuates the myth of people that play games being socially inept. I don't like it one bit.
