This is all thanks to the biggest exclusive game of the year, which can only be found on the Playstation 4, Destiny. And every other exclusive game that can only be found on Playstation 4, such as Madden, and NHL.

Exclusive sell consoles. That's all we've been hearing since the start of this generation. Maybe people should realize that people in general don't care of a game is exclusive or not.

Well, you have to realize, it's not just that.

Playstation was a powerful brand for the PS1 and PS2. Super powerful. If you look at the PS3 as an overpriced misstep, the PS4 being on top again is less of a surprise.

Basically, the 360 did as well as it did because of what Sony did just as much what Microsoft did, too.

This is impossible, unless they're counting all of those free 30-day subs that came with every PS4 copy of Destiny sold, and even then it's a hell of a stretch. There's zero chance actual paid subscriptions have doubled since September. I'm sure the numbers are crazy high, though.

Yeah that's the crazy thing. PS3 was toxic in the beginning too and Sony managed to do recover with it (not in US though). It's interesting to see how fluid the market can be.
