I don't really like ADS so if it is going to stay in the game than I hope it doesn't slow you down.

Exact thought that went into my mind when Halo 3 came out and I noticed that despite 3 years of hearing what their most hardcore, loyal fanbase wanted, Bungie didn't listen to any of it. Reach came out and solidified those beliefs. "Vocal minority" be damned. Same thing's happening here except that now 343 is upsetting the thousands/millions of Halo 2&3 fans, so that's exponentially more problematic than Bungie upsetting the 10 CE fans.
There's no arguing it anymore after seeing Bungie's transition over the past few years and how Destiny was handled, and 343 is heading down a similar path. I guess we'll see though.

Even if they changed the visual design of zooming, it barely zooms in at all. It's ADS.

once again, this might not actually be ADS. It could just be a visual thing. Based on the .gif, it looks like it's just an animation. If it's tricking you guys though then I'm willing to bet it will trick the BKs who want ADS so maybe this is a good thing? Maybe I'm just grabbing at strings. I don't know. I don't want Halo to be dad.

If H2:A had sprint and ADS, it would have 54,000, duh. Nobody wants classic Halo.

And it is a terrible/worse re-skin, tell them. If its ADS and its terrible, tell them. If they don't change it, then don't buy H5 so they realize their mistake.
I really don't understand why they would implement true ADS considering Halo sales have been going down since Halo 3. Clearly the changes in Reach/4 were not well received, the numbers say it all.
If they want to go big in the esports scene, why is ADS/sprint necessary? What's the Halo Global Championship for then? If competitive halo in a classic sense for a remake of an old game can bring 30k+ viewers for just the opening round, the fundamentals are clearly sound.

I would argue that the Energy Sword is the primary CQC weapon in Halo. It's one of the big three power weapons. Sword, Snipe, Rocks.

Does it really matter? Seems more true now than it did when I first said anything. Like we have visual proof now. What else is there to say?
EDIT:
Sorry I would like to redact what I said. It's not being nice or fair to 343 when we still have no idea the context of that leak. And someone in the gaming side thread compared the zoom on the BR in Halo 2 to what we're seeing with this new clip - and it actually seems like a reasonable comparison.

Hard to hate on Frank, guy is just doing his job. He doesn't design the game, it's his job to put things in a positive light so to speak.
People are lost. If MS wants their own CoD why dont they just do that? What sales problem has Halo had to make it go in another direction?

The Sword would've been badass in CE seeing as how there's no melee lunge and it takes 3 melees to kill people. Give it ammo, maybe a slight lunge or just the same type of melee design from CE except as a one hit kill and done, interesting weapon in an interesting sandbox.

Based on the clip it doesn't look like they reduced hip fire accuracy or changed that at all, that makes me feel slightly better. ADS basically as an option. Although it does change scoping, which is a downfall.

Along with the Sword, add the Grenade Launcher, Focus Rifle, and 2 shot kill Concussion Rifle to CE. BOSS.

It's not a sales problem. I think the people who currently make Halo just don't really like the way Halo traditionally plays.

Sarcasm? Its ADS for sure, he/she aims and then shoots[you can see the ammo count go down for extra proof] xp and medals,sprint is still in too of course.
343 can't win over your hearts.
Well, maybe with Halo 5 MP that's just another Halo 2 map-pack ... But that's it.
For the record: I also probably wouldn't like ADS in Halo. However, I at least wait for tomorrow ...

Watching high level Halo 2 Anniversary can be a snoozefest.. I would be worried for future competitive Halo if people wanted Halo 5 to be like H2A.
It's funny because one of my friends who's also a diehard Halo fan, but doesn't interact on forums says how watching Halo can be boring. I found that interesting because although many of us love playing Halo, it's definitely not as entertaining to watch when it's just BR BR BR BR BR BR BR BR BR BR BR BR BR BR BR all day, especially when the BR is not really an interesting weapon and there isn't a spectator mode to give interesting perspectives on gameplay.

It still zooms in though. I think it's more likely that the zoom for BR has been reduced.
Also what's the point in ADS if hip fire accuracy is maintained. Which it is.

The assumption is that ADSing will provide the player with some benefit. The question becomes, what is the penalty for firing from the hip?
It is like when they took base traits away from Chief just so they could add them back in as perks. You are hurting the base game to add pointless fluff features.

This Tuesday we have a special guest with a talk titled: "Why lying to myself about the developers caring hurts my real relationships."
Every Friday is group hug day, where we reminisce about Halo games with no sprint and fast kill times. We always end with a hug.
Any questions can be directed to the older Halo CE members, who have been in this support group for over 10 years.

It does look like Destiny's shooting actually. Making hip fire or aiming both legit.
I don't know if I like it though. We do have MCC for Halo 1/2/3 style gameplay and Halo does need to keep evolving, but I'm not sure this is the way to do it.
I want to see more though. I need to see a full match.
