So... I am going to push tales from the borderlands.

It could have been its own sci fi western, and it would still be good. Its pretty much a firefly/bebop game.

Honestly, I believe in recent TellTale. I think they could do something interesting with it. I'll keep it on my radar.

Some people probably agree I just feel like weve been quicker to tick off not anger per say but you get it.

Maybe. Either way I might have to take a break since I'm feeling this way and don't want to get angry at you guys (I say I'll take a break but I'll probably still be on)
Yeah im feeling the same way but mainly just cause of the waifu wars but mostly cause im constantly being trashed on for liking Yukiko.

I'm not so sure about that. The P3 characters were deeply flawed and in constant conflict with themselves and each other, which is fine. Likability is not necessary. Like I said before, Yukari is really difficult to like, but her general abandonment issues are far better executed and implemented into the story than most of the P4 cast. The P4 cast mostly each had a main issue that is dealth with through the initial rescue and the S-Links, but they mostly just stick to the general friendly-dumb-detective-team shtick for most of its story.

I do think Likability is somewhat important though, a realistic character doesn't always make a good character.

Season 2 Korra taught us that.

Yeah.... fuukas english VA wasn't great.

Which one? Since I played my first run with no upgrades I was stuck on the quell for 2 hours because I went into that fight only with pistol bullets and two shotgun rounds

Chapter 10 boss
. It's fast, and it aggros very quickly and 90% of the time it's gonna moll you down and take off a good chunk of your health.

I hit it with a flash bolt while it was in it's giant eyeball mode, then threw every grenade I had it. ran to the saferooms and repeated it over again.

Many times I did because I threw the grenades to close. :/

I actually did not die on that fight. It became especially easier once it got to its second phase.

I still like the one before it in that same chapter
(the second battle with Laura)
, but the last boss of that chapter I had no problems with.

Never played it
Fucking play it. It has your waifu voicing one of the main characters, and she's better in this than in Persona.

Then again.... its still the pilot. I thought the pilot for wolf among us was fucking amazing.... and then the season fell apart.

Not to mention I realized walking dead
with out Lee
just isn't interesting. I never liked Clemintine in Season 1, and I didn't care about or hated all the new characters in S2.

Also.... not a huge fan of fantasy, so I might not check out GoT.

But Borderlands does have potential. Helps that the leads are Troy Baker and Laura Bailey.

They are incredibly lovable (most of them anyway) due to the group of friends dynamic the game has going on, but quite a few of them certainly are simple. They do what they set out to do, but so does the P3 cast.

Màrâ spitting the truth over here. Yukari is like my experience with Asuka from Eva, the characters are hard to like because they're written so well. I really like the P4 cast and Kanji is one of my favourite characters in gaming but I felt the P3 cast was better written for the most part, of course neither are perfect

Oh yeah..... I was stuck on there for a while too, but I never had problems with the first phase. The second phase of it is atrocious and borderline unfair. Fuck that boss.

Oh Yukiko I was confused since you said waifu and wasnt sure you meant Hinata or Yukiko.

I personally disagree with that. The most important thing is to create a well written character that does what he or she needs to do and does it well. Likability, unless that's literally what you're aiming for, is a nice, yet unnecessary bonus.

The way to deal with all TEW bosses, outside of certain respawning ones, is to freeze them, throw a grenade or two and repeat the cycle. Shoot him in the
eye
. The bosses in this game are chumps.

To be fair, Legend of Korra season 2 got to the point where every time the main character was on screen you wanted to punch her. I think that is very bad, because it can easily make someone zone out or stop caring for the character completely.

Sasuke is another example of a character that started off as a cool dude if a little stock, but the series went on and he became a legit asshole a lot of times.

Yeah. Kenny was the only one I liked. But I was super annoyed the writing in season 2 made him out to be a huge piece of shit.

He was a piece of shit in season 1, but not to the degree of Season 2. I still like him because we are salt lick bros.

FUCK LARRY

Kenny was alright in season 1
outside the saltlick

He was flawed, and did stupid things, but he was an okay dude that tried his best most of the time.

Season 2 Kenny was legit awful though, and I don't know what they were thinking. Considering the ending scene he tried to kill a woman for what could have been a mistake for all he knew.

Time to end all the persona wars-

P2 cast > P3 cast > Rise > P1 cast > hatsune miku cast >>>>>> shit >>>>>>> P4 cast

I'm really starting to hate how people have to have a super flawed character to make them good.

P4 cast are likable and honestly I'm tired of the constant urge to make our characters assholes for the sake of realism, not everyone are jerkfaces when you meet them, there are actually some legit nice but flawed people in real life.

Not everyone needs to go through life realizing that being a shit face isn't a good idea most of the time.

Sorry to randomly join but my main gripe with S2 is that in S1 it was more about the relationship and journey of lee and Clementine and we found out more about the other characters.

But S2 really felt like here's Kenny and Clem now has to help out everyone despite being the youngest. Also we will mainly focus on Kenny.

Okay I'm done

Un Rama
Christ they are awful at The Evil Within. Just terrible.

4real. As much as I shit on this LP he isn't exactly playing it in the best circumstances. This game is probably best when played alone and at a slow pace to soak it all in. Instead of talking over it and ignoring everything. Plus he is over thinking everything when it is simplistic. He said it perfectly in the RE4 LP that every problem could be solved with a gun and that design philosophy carries or to this game and then some. I don't mean this in a toxic youtube comment way though. I was super hyped for this play-through but its been a mess.

I don't want Matt to stop making Simpsons quotes :( That's the best thing he does.

Rise should be at the bottom of that list tho.

In a game where ammo is scarce I wouldn't think that bullets should solve puzzles

My problem with S2 is that everyone is a fucking asshole. And it doesn't help that characters flip flop like fucking nuts in it. Example would be Rebecca in the first episode, then randomly trying to open up to you in the next one.

People tell me "oh season 2 has more complex characters".... but it doesn't. They are all inconsistant. Look at the playthrough.... despite Matt and Pat clearly shunning Kenny at every opportunity, he acts as if they are best friends. It makes no sense. And don't get me started on GI Jane.

The final episode made me realize I do not give a shit about this series anymore, and also because I got the Kenny redemption ending, which feels like the ending I needed.

Also what ending did the best friends get? Since I got to salty from all the Kenny shit talk.

If they went with Jane.... I am kill

For them to be super flawed and then go through tons of character development to change their ways is really compelling. It builds on the fact that they first have to realize that they need to change. Its way more interesting for how they go through this change in P3 than P4. They do so suddenly and aruptly due to their shadows and then just accept the evils within them when you beat their shadows. Don't even get me started with the S-links since they are optional but not really.

I edited in a bit too late that the main character is an exception to this as you're going to be focusing the vast majority of time on said character, unless (again) the asshole MC is what you're going for. And while I haven't watched Naruto since years, I'm sure the reason why he became such a shit wasn't because he became a villain-esque character, but because that was poorly done.

No, he was a flat out villain for a few chapters...Stabbed the woman that loved him and saved his life 5 times up to that point because she was captured and asking for help. Ditching two of his friends because they were no more use to him despite both of them risking their life for him when both could have easily ditched his ass like they did to him.

Of course he never actually has to pay for anything he did, hell her barely gets called out for it. Even then he just says (Oh sorry) and then everything is forgiven and he returns to being a little shit until the very end, ignoring two people who is there for help. (Saying they are useless so he doesn't even bother acknowledging them. Bonus points is the fact that both of them ending up saving his ass again) He does this all the way to the end.

Now this is in line with his personality somewhat, and it makes sense for what he's been true. But it doesn't make it much better.

I'll agree with Pat that boss fight wasn't amazing, but I didn't think it was that bad, I really do think those guys all get fed up way too easily, Woolie and Liam bitching endlessly in Guacamelee when something was difficult "It's not fun if it's hard."

And Pat trying two things and being like 'I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO FUCK'

It's like, come on guys.
