Crazy. I walk in at 10 am on the Friday after and was able to just pick up a PS4 GTA5/TLOU bundle. It shouldn't have been this easy, but it just was (two more left in Sterling, VA)

Just spent $100 combined for the Veronica Mars and The Office complete sets on Amazon. Those are crazy good deals

How are these Amazon TV deals working? Do you just have to wait until they show up? I'm specifically waiting on the $80 32" TV or the $119 40" deal.

Jesus.

Thanks for the heads up :) My Sennheiser Amperiors sound great but they hurt my ears. Been looking for a decent replacement!

Head over to Home Depot to buy better paint for those walls :p.

Damn I'm jealous are you kidding me how much did all this cost anything you got a steal on?

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Holy fuck, how much did that set you back?

Goddamn dude.

You should go back out and pick up a DSLR to take another pic =)

Lol, this is a purchase between my sister and I. We are splitting it but we've also been planning this purchase going back to July. We hadn't bought any new stuff for a while. Total was about 6k for all of our stuff.

I do have a DSLR but I didn't feel like taking it out. Phone pic had to do because we were about to take it all out. Most of it is unboxed now. The TV is magnificent.

Anyone able to recommend a good ~50-in. 3DTV? I feel like they should be relatively more affordable now that they're out of demand, no? Maybe I should check for a refurb or warehouse deal?

I got the 50" panasonic, an LG 2.1 soundbar, and the PS4 TLOU/GTA5 bundle + whatever blu-rays my fiancee thought were worth picking up. I was too wiped out to have much enthusiasm for the small stuff lol

Reposting from the Best Buy thread:

Best Buy has a ton, and I mean a TON of 50" Sharp LC-50LB261U (seem to be rebraned Insignias, which they apparently had last year as well under a different model number). Anyone have experience with these? 50" for $399 is tempting.

Local Target also had a bunch of 50" Westinghouse sets for $374. Any impressions on that set?

Lastly, the local BB also had a 40" Sony Bravia KDL-40R380B 1080p LED TV for $299. It seems like an ok price, but reviews are really strong. What do you guys think?

We would be looking at the 50 inchers for general day to day streaming and blu-ray watching and I'd be using the 40 incher in my game room for PS4 gaming.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

westinghouse is bad. i know that. we have an insignia at home, and it has a good picture and everything from what i can tell, but the buttons on the tv have crapped out and (this might be the box we have) the remote does not interact well with the tv at all. dunno about the sony though.

are there any good deals left on hdtvs online? preferably 32"+

Likewise. I just saw a metric shit-ton of the Sharps too. They're also selling some Vizios in the 5-600 range, which is what I'm shopping for. I'd like to do some big screen PC gaming on a 50 inch, ideally.

Thinking of making one last BF purchase of the OG Star Wars Bluray set on Amazon for $30 in a couple hours. Is that a good price? I haven't bothered before because I was happy watching them every other month on Spike but now that Disney owns them that isn't happening anymore so figured I probably better buy a set now.

Amazon is going to have the Alien Anthology as a lightning deal. Thinking of jumping on it depending on the price (it's 25 now). I've only ever seen alien, is the collection worth it?

Yes, though a lot of people dislike 3 and 4 I thought they all are at least watchable. But 1 and 2 are worth it alone.

So, looking around at the TVs in the <$600 range, I notice if you just get the 60Hz sets, you can save a couple hundred bucks easy. Truth be told, I never use the 120Hz mode on my current set anyway. Is there any point in even getting anything more than 60? Like, do the 60Hz have notoriously bad build quality or anything?

120Hz is one of the most useless gimmicks in existence. Save the dough.

Picked up a new Kings Jersey for 25% off

Wolfenstein PS4 for $19
Diablo 3 Ultimate Edition x2 for Xb1 @$24
Transformers bluray for $5.99

Was mellow. Still might cave and run out for a GoPro since snowboarding season is here

Um exCUSE me Sakurai but CLEARLY the best choice for Smash Bros would be my fav niche character HOWEVER you are clearly INCOMPETENT and
I was reading online that the $399 Sharp sets at Best Buy are actually rebranded Insignias. Does anyone know if this is true? I haven't heard much praise for Insignia televisions.

I just so happened to get back home at almost exactly 5pm from the restaurant I had Thanksgiving at yesterday so I swung by Best Buy just as they were letting people in. Wandered around and ended up not buying anything. Been looking to replace some hard drives, but Best Buys selection sucks and they were barely on sale.

Anyone know of good hard drive/SSD sales? I'm looking to pick up two Western Digital Reds for my NAS, 2 or 3TB and a 250ish GB SSD for my PC, probably like a Samsung 840/850. Not sure if I'll find anything or if I should wait until Monday.

BB had the 40" Sonys for that price last weekend as well and I bought one to use for a bedroom TV. I am probably the wrong person to ask since I have a calibrated Pannasonic ST60 for my main TV, but it looks like a 300 dollar TV compared to a good TV.

It works for like a secondary set, but I would not want it to be my main television for any period of time.

love on your sleeve
Alien Anthology went from 0 to 77% claimed in literally 10 seconds. Glad I was able to get in on that.

At the very least, this has been a great Black Friday for my Blu-Ray collection.

I'm glad I was able to get some of the limited stuff on sale from http://bf.mega64.com/

Thinkgeek has a site-wide sale going on right now I believe.

I dunno, ThinkGeek stuff usually looks like it tries too hard to be over nerdy, I mean pop culture reference are some things but they kinda feel icky iunno. Kind want stuff less on the nose, even that said, kinda disappointed that developer (valve and supergiant) stores aren't having sales (yet maybe). http://theyetee.com/ and http://www.brokentier.com/ have alrightish discounts.

Samsung 840 seems like a good deal considering I spent $140~ a couple months ago. They also have other Intel ssds for Black Friday sale.

I just picked up the Netgear AC1900 Nighthawk router from Walmart at the low, unadvertised (price mistake?) of around $89 or so. Dear lord, I should have updated my router long ago. This this is finally giving me the speeds that I thought I should be getting before. This has change a LOT in our household now! My favorite purchase of all of BF!

I had been using a Netgear N300 before upgrading to this one.

Amazon customer service is so great. They just refunded me for and Archer c7 I bought last week. They marked it down to match the Newegg deal.

Would it be worth picking up the $599 1080p Smart Samusung that Best Buy and Sears has or should I wait for Cyber Monday? I can't find much info on this model online.

Only bought a Bluray player for $50 (normally 120), HTTYD 2 for $10, and a new electric razor for $55 (normally $150).

I put off upgrades on my PC and TV until next year.
