Btw, the first games ever released for the Playstation brand were

A. IV Evolution
Crime Crackers
Gokujō Parodius Da! Deluxe Pack
Mahjong Goku Sky: Atsushi
Mahjong Station Mazin
Nekketsu Oyako
Ridge Racer
TAMA

Shall we see any of them back?

OK Nathan Drake standing there in the middle just made it 100% official that we are going to see gameplay from this game, they wouldn't hype it up like this for another in-engine cutscene. Pretty excited.

My guess is a small teaser trailer with a glimpse of gameplay and a release date...just like they did for Uncharted 3 at VGA's. I'm fine with that :) They can go nuts at E3 next year to build hype for the release

oh and I guess at this point TLG is all but confirmed...so excited man. Wonder wtf it looks like now. I mean the first footage we saw already looked beautiful but if it's a PS4 exclusive and takes advantage of that extra power it has...could you imagine? Minds would be blown...tears will shed....things will get erect (not necessarily in that order)

Even though I might think TLG is the most important thing in development, the idea it's some huge reveal is absurd. It was already announced in 2008.

It's like the FFXV announcement, but less because that included becoming a mainline title, and it'll sell three times more.

How much bigger can you get than a Last Guardian re-reveal? You guys in the know are getting me dangerously hyped for something that may turn out to be a a let down relative to these crazy expectations.

I should say I'm coming at this thought from the perspective that this were to ever even happen. If Square were to decide it is worth their time to do it, Sony needs to be ready for it. A prehistoric game it may be, but its importance, as you know, is undeniable. Like I said, the buzz would be deafening and grow and grow. The franchise may be declining, but the "sacredness" around 7 makes it seem like it transcends the franchise in some ways. Just my two cents :)
Okay. It's (unironically) cool to get this insight. I doubt it, but would happily play the game. Played FF7 and liked it, but not to the degree of blind love.
In my opinion a remake would be great for sony, with or without exclusivity, as it would a) be associated with playstation anyway and b) would help enormously in japan where no one would chose an xbox to play it anyway. So: Forget the exclusiveness and just make it happen.

Alright. Ridge Racer it is.

I unsubscribed this thread earlier today because of all the teasing which got annoying, and now I'm back subscribing.

I'm not hyped though.

Here's what I'm thinking it's not called TLG anymore.

TLG and The Last Guardian are a brand now - no way in hell do you deviate from it. You pop the The Last Guardian at any core gamer and s/he will know.......for a game that's never even released. No way in hell that happens - I hope :)

I genuinely think it's been altered in some form, if not cancelled. The twist will be that "The Last Guardian" is technically dead.

And I think a western team is finishing whatever it's new incarnation is.

It's hilarious how this keeps coming up. Some people think PSX ain't big enough for TLG. Others think TLG ain't big enough to begin with :D
