Why would it be too small? Most companies just send out a PR mail to all the game websites if they want to announce a release date. Or they just announce it on the official site. Announcing it on Kojima Station and sending PR mails right after would have the same effect

Again, I still think Kojima wants something bigger for the biggest and most ambitious game he has ever made.

i dunno though. devs and publishers don't have to clump their announcements in and around trade shows. in fact it's kinda better to do the opposite where you don't have to compete with other games for coverage.

i mean, ground zeroes' date was announced some day in december with a press release.
