ahahaha, im amazed that most people stayed tuned to the show expecting something big even after they saw a women in a chicken hat, mgs fans must either be some of the most bright eyed, optimistic fans on earth or they have trouble reading social situations, did anyone really think that something as huge as a release date was going to be given on a free show by a women in a chicken hat? or anything big for that matter?, i cant wait to read these comments saying that kojima "played us like a fiddle", this is all your guys fault for overhyping the shit out of this, as usual
Mgs4's release date was also announced on a podcast so there is precedent.

There is no precedent with Kojima. He's a walking non-precedent. He doesn't even age.

O yeah. When Kojima trolls, its because he has put something awesome in his games or he is promoting something widely unexpecting by having the biggest balls in the gaming industry [Raiden in MGS2, MGS3 Threatre announcement of MGS4, Joakim Mogren, PT,...].

When we release the date, or lead up to releasing the date, it will not be in some secret, coy fashion. It will be loud, proud, and big enough to be heard for more than just the super fans.

I've come to this realization (and so should everyone else), Kojima isn't as big of a troll as everyone think he is. He's tricked us a couple of times over the years and now he's built up this reputation for being a troll to the point where everyone is over analyzing everything he does. The release date will be announced in due time and david Hayter is not in the game.

People really need to stop expecting unceremonious reveals for Big Deal news. That's never been a thing and never will be.

Yep, I've been thinking the same.
Kojima built his reputation with mgs2 raiden stunt, but after that all he did was never nearly as far fetched or elaborated as people give him credit for.
Everything the guy says is dissected and interpreted until it becomes the proof to any theory.
People are so desperate to prove they don't fall for his tricks, they are trying so hard to avoid being taken by surprise they now see tricks everywhere, riddles everywhere and troll themselves in the end.
