I was so hyped when they said Marth would be getting a restock. Also these new amiibo look gooooooood.
Was kind of hoping they'd confirm Shulk amiibo would work on Xenoblade 3D. Oh well, hearing the FE characters work on Codename STEAM is very cool and makes me hope I get my Marth from B&H.
At least now, Ike feels more justified, so probably will try to get him first now.

Not being tied to smash poses will let them make some better figures. I want Luigi and link, but their smash poses are awful.
I just really hope they dial in the stock issues. It's bullshit that I've never seen a handful of characters in stores.
What do you want him to do? Because that Toad Amiibo functionality is pretty much a joke.

Well, i guess i need Marth and Ike now, as i've been super excited for Codename STEAM for a while.
Also, Pac-Man is totally mine, as is Wario and Ness. I just wish any of my Big 3 happened in this wave. Maybe next time.

I missed it but did they basically say the Smash Mario amiibo won't do anything in Mario Party 10, only this mario and team?

Marth Restock makes me very happy! I'll likely be cancelling my Amazon order today! And will be pre-ordering all of Wave 4 when I get the chance.

It's quite nice to have only 6 amiibo in wave 4 so our wallet can have a break for awhile. 
The way it was worded, Smash Mario and Mario Party Mario would have the same exact internals and could be used interchangably. However you cannot have data for both games on the same Amiibo at the same time. If you want Mario Party data on a Smash amiibo, the data on the Smash amiibo gets wiped out.
We're only getting New 3DS XL. The smaller, non-XL version had faceplates. Very lame.

Yeah I'm hoping they are going to keep smaller sizes but maybe more frequent releases.

I could see the new Marth packaging mentioning compatibility with the Steam game (Ike's package too).
Oh, I'm not too worried about getting one since I got one out of luck with Amazon.

Man, that Ness Amiibo looks smashin'! I'm also glad to hear that the Marth Amiibo will be restocked later this year, though I personally think the Fire Emblem Amiibo's look shoddy, at best.

No. Steam game is just an unlock thing. It reads the Amiibo, but never writes. Mario Party has some more functionality to it. You can save items to the Amiibo and use them.

You can use the Smash versions for all nine of those characters, but the six with the red stands are getting their own Mario Party-branded amiibos.
EDIT: obviously, Toad doesn't have a Smash amiibo... so you can use the Smash amiibos for eight of those characters.
How long did it takes when wave 3 was announced? ;o

It makes sense to allow smash amiibos to work in other games, but having to wipe data is maybe an unintentional way to incentivize you to buy new lines.

Only thing that would've made the Direct better would've been a preemptive announcement that retailer exclusive Amiibos will be getting regular restocks.

If the new Luigi is compatible with Smash, I might get him. Otherwise, I can skip the rest of these new amiibos.
Aw man, I like the larger size but I was definitely pumped for some faceplates darn. I don't think price was announced yet, was it? Also no AC adaptor, come on Nintendo! What about brand new players to the Nintendo family?
