Yeah, the poses definitely don't look nearly as exciting or dynamic (one of the reasons I really like the smash ones, poles and all). But I'd guess they'll still be the exact same price.
Is it wrong if I like the Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi from the Super Mario line better?
Oh yeah, the Mario Party amiibo really do look cheap. Like those figures you can buy all day at Wal-Mart for eight bucks.

I think the annoying part is for people who don´t plan to buy every single amiibo. Some people buy them because of what they add to the games, not because they are a collectibe. Say, someone skipped on Marth because they were not expecting it to get support. Then, after its sold out, amiibo support for Marth is announced for One Piece and Project STEAM, and a character that was deemed to have less features than other figures now get more value because it is compatible with more games now.
I'm just glad that I only want Wario and Ness from wave 4. It gives my wallet a break. I've also decided that once the smash line of amiibos is over, I'm out of amiibo collecting. It's been fun at times, but honestly it's way too much money to be spending at this point I can no longer justify it. Got a few more smash amiibos I want though.
Considering there was a Tom Nook silhouette shown with the silhouettes for the Mario Party amiibos which just got announced...time to buy life insurance.
That's what I'm waiting for. For a lot of them they could use the same molds too. I just hope they don't do cards and call it a day.

OK, I hear you but I'm still not annoyed by it.
People won't buy a product until they see it as a good value, that's how literally everything works. So I bought Marth because I wanted to use him in Smash, but your theoretical person didn't. Now there's Marth support in S.T.E.A.M. and they think Marth is worth it, so they go out and buy a Marth. Where's the problem?...
I kind of have to agree here. I didn't want Marth at first because I wanted to focus on characters that'd be "useful" to me, but then I saw the One Piece 3DS game and figured the costume would be worth it if it came to the US. Now that Codename STEAM will support not only him but the 3 other FE characters, I really want Marth now for the fact he now feels useful to me compared to before.
Until Nintendo confirmed they're releasing more of him, how rare he was & the price. I wanted Marth, but not at $40 or $50+ people were selling them for.

If Nintendo wants to make this is a viable platform (like Skylanders), making these collectors items makes ZERO sense. I am collecting these for display. But I would love itt if they were always available and always cheap. Them being rare doesn't add anything to them for me. I would like them on display regardless. I would prefer them not being rare, then there would be less stress or hassle.

It looks nice! I really like the case- I wanna get something like that for my scale figures, but only place I know of that has that type is IKEA and we don't have one near by.
Yeah. I just put in a temp light at the top. I think it's too bright with them GOING all the way up on the case. I'll take it out and put something else in. I'm still not decided what to do with lighting. Someone talked me into buying some LED strips. Those come in on Thursday (my birthday actually). SO...I'll have to just keep trying things out. But I do think I like the stairs + the DETOLF case.

Factor in Nintendo's supply issues. If I want to buy Marth, I can't. At best there are vague promises they'll have more out here during the Summer. The rarity and potentially increasing value encourages people to buy everything as it comes out. Whereas with DI and Skylanders, their value is static. You either want them now or you don't.
The problem is... there is no Marth available right now. Sure, we know there is going to be a restock, but when? For this person, if he had the chance to buy Marth at launch but didn´t, then its annoying for him, because now he or she has to wait for said restock and be sure to be able to get it there before it solds out again.
Hence, the annoyance.
For me? I already got mine so I´m good, but not everyone has the money to spend on every single one on this toys, so they have to be selective to the amiibos that they really really will use.

Looks great. I'd recommend ordering them by the same order as the Smash Wii U character select screen.
By wave sounds the best, since you don´t have to keep reorganizing them at every turn. Once you have them all you can display them as you´ll like.

Weird, Nintendo updated the compatibility chart on the amiibo site, but not the line-up of amiibo or games.
Also hoping considering Namco has done two 3DS games that support amiibo, they'll do one that supports Pac-Man in the future. Not sure if Sega or Capcom have any plans for their characters (I could see the next Mario & Sonic Olympic Games having unlockable Mii costumes like in MK8).

Yes you can. If you push them all together, you can easily fit 6 on each stair. That said, this is the 12 inch width. The stairs are bigger than you would expect. Make sure you have the room for it. That the width fits.
But yes, on the 12 inch model I linked, you can easily fit 6 across if you pushed them closer together. I have them spread out a bit.
