Love the blacks in this one! What's the white triangle in the one from the Guggenheim?

Thanks :) Hah, that's amazing, I never even noticed that! I have absolutely no idea. I wonder if it's a lightbulb shape (as in those types of lights that are set into the ceiling)? But not entirely sure. I really want to know now!

Sweet! What kind of film do you use? I especially like the first couple of color ones.

I've started my little film adventure as well. Using my grandfathers OM-1. Started shooting with Kodak Gold 400. Have yet to shoot up my first roll and have it developed though. Can't wait for the results!

The first ones from paris are actually one i've never used before, I even just had to google it because i'd forgotten (i bought them in paris, and they're a brand i'd never used!). I think they're called Ilford? But it was a black and white one which somehow turned out more sepia due to the type of exposure I used, but I remember it being marketed as one which was meant for architecture. That's awesome, it's so exciting using film! Whenever I go somewhere non-winter based I usually take my film camera instead, it's only if I know it'll be dark often I take my digital one. It makes trips so much more exciting and you end up taking the perfect amount of photos instead of thousands!

I mainly started using film because my mum taught me on her film camera, but it's much better than mine, I wish she would lend it to me more haha. Plus she has a hasselblad I've been lusting over :(

Visiting Kiev Ukraine with my girlfriend, few photos for now. So many places to take pictures of its overwhelmingly awesome.

I desperately want to give it a proper try, but I'm such a pussy when it comes to stuff like that.

I got threatened, twice. Once in downtown LA and again in Hollywood. Both were lowlifes just trying to shake down someone who they assumed was a tourist. In one case I hadn't even taken a picture of the guy in question. He just saw a lot of photographers out on the street and picked someone to demand $20 from. The advice I was given by our instructor, who is a -very- experienced street photographer, is to just ignore them and keep moving.

Besides, for every dirtbag there were 2 or 3 cool people who will want to chat about photography, themselves, the locale, etc. If someone asks you why you took their picture, just answer honestly: usually it's because you notice something cool or unique about them. Their clothes, something they're carrying, etc. Just say "I like your clothes/hair/glasses/guitar/whatever, it really got my attention" and they will almost always respond positively.

Looked back at an old picture of mine and it's indeed light sources that have a triangular shape :) Guess, the fact the we see only one tripped me off.

I love this one! It reminds me of Rhein ii

Yup, or Sugimoto's Seascapes!

Cute girl, the image looks kind of soft and it would've been cool if she had stand right below the arch in the back, cool pic anyway.

He's my first attempt at the Brenizer method, 15 images taken with a D810, cropped as a 101mp picture, not the best of pose by the couple but it was between pics and i decided to experiment a little. Taken with a 85mm 1.8

I'm gonna give it a shot(or several :) ) with the 50mm 1.4 next time.

Here's another one, single frame with the Sigma 35mm 1.4

Is anyone here on Instagram? I don't know if this is the place to post this, but I'd love to follow some of you if you have accounts, and I'm sure others would be interested as well.

Feel free to view or follow my feed as well (though my stuff will probably/mostly be golf related): brerwolfe

Thank you, she's a cute girlfriend and model, I agree :p Yeah the old 50mm 1.4 can get softer at certain apertures, but I'm not a huge sharpness junkie either, so I don't mind, just give me more bokeh.

As far as composition goes, I like the off centeredness personally, and angle of her, and you can see the exit of the tunnel, gives off a "follow me" vibe haha, it comes off as a bit more interesting to me, but I understand what you're saying, comes down to preference I suppose.

That's weird, it shouldn't do that. Perhaps the filter isn't very good quality.

It's a very high end filter. Of course it has patches on wide angle. Polarisers have maximum effect at 90 degrees from the sun. Directly into and away from the sun the light in the sky isn't polarised so you can't block out as much light.

This with ultra wide angles, especially a 10mm which has a field of view that covers both the polarised and non polarised areas of the sky, you will get uneven polarising filtration.

I haven't posted in a while... mainly because I hadn't taken any photos in a bit! Sadness abound. But, I'm going to Comic Con next weekend, so I expect more photos then!

Until then, these 3!

hated having to take this in such a rush (i was on a tight schedule for some location scouting). would've done a little something something about that noise... should've only taken a few seconds to get my settings right but nope... felt i was in this terrible hurry. ah well, still satisfied.

I had the idea yesterday driving home but I am not yet pleased enough by the color tones. I think I went to my building roof a bit too late.
