I was at that Raw. After watching the show and listening to what you heard on TV I can easily say we were muted/altered hard at spots.

Walter's VERY solid (not just in terms of his build) and can have a good match with just about anyone, I think he's going to go down a treat with the PROGRESS crowd. Put him in a ring with any of the other big guys in the line-up and I can guarantee it'll be a proper belter of a match, but he works well with smaller guys as well. Had some great matches with Zack & Tommy in wXw.

I'm guessing the last guy will be a big import name - I'd love it to be a Japanese guy, as this is the Strong Style tournament, but that could be difficult. Of the UK guys, I reckon Haskins has to be in there. Maybe Gilbert, but we haven't seen him for a while.

And your observation is correct. "the sole top guy"-style of booking actually never works in Japan anyway. At least not in the modern era of Puro. In my lifetime of fandom, the product is always hottest when there's a handful of "top guys," usually a hot rivalry on top (where the rivalry is probably actually bigger than any one guy) and at least another fan favorite or monster waiting in the wings.
and you are correct again that if Okada doesn't get it, AJ should retain until the WK. The only way I could see Gedo changing is if somebody becomes inexplicably hot, or he gets infatuated with somebody at the ROH show, which I don't see happening. Dude seems focussed.

Getting all caught up on SHIMMER. Their schedule is insane, I'm watching Vol 65, which is the last DVD they put out, yet they had 71 on iPPV over Mania weekend, then taped 72-75 a week or two ago.
They really need to sort their shit out. I mean Nicole Matthews has been champion since October for fucks sake, and that match is 3 DVD's away!

That would be poetic, I think. Actually, I think it would be ideal for his final match to be on Friday Night Smackdown!, but I don't think the company can take a chance on Daniel Bryan's body holding up until then.

Yeah, it's why I stopped paying attention to SHIMMER - I prefer the talent roster to SHINE, but at least you can follow SHINE from month to month. I get why they do it, though. SHIMMER just couldn't continue with the number of imports they use if they had to tape more than a couple of times a year.

Michael Cole is the worst play-by-play commentator that the WWE has ever given multiple main shows. It is fitting that his garbage commentary litters the matches of one John Cena, the worst top guy in the history of the company. They are a perfect storm of trash.

Cole isn't the worst, and saying Cena is the worst top guy is hilarious. It's fine if you think Cena stinks in the ring but saying something as dumb as "the worst top guy" is just being blatantly blind.
The Cole hatred is 30 percent deserving but 70 percent flawed. People forget that he was actually good on Smackdown with Tazz and was kinda underrated during the Attitude Era compared to Keven Kelly's hyperactive ass.
Bottom line he's not that bad, but he's still is shitty in many ways than one.

Cena's a charisma vacuum who delivers robotic politician promos and then wrestles a stale match awkwardly. Dude sure can lift though.
