I could happily strip out all the local game data from my current PS4 for redownload/disc installation, but I need to know that P.T. will survive the transfer. It's just proving difficult to find anecdotal evidence of it being transferred between PS4s, as most discussion I'm finding relates to swapping hard drives in the same unit.

Heck no, this is Gamestop, they couldn't give a shit about doing customer-friendly things like that. The 20th anniversary controller has gone up as well on their site to €70, like fucking €70? Nope. Cancelling that and going with Smyths, just not sure when to go in though because Smyths have the date listed as November, Gamestop don't have one but the US are getting it the same day as MGSV so I've got no idea what's going on.

A friend of mine wants my old PS4, it will be his first console and he wanted one for a long time but didn't have the money to get it new, so I gave in and preordered the LE. I'm stupidly excited about it, I hope it looks as good as the pictures.

I'm wondering if something broke down between SCEA and Konami US in regards to marketing for TPP.

SCEE and SCEJ's Playstation channels on YT all have the latest MGS trailers. SCEJ's channel in particular, rather prominently gives it attention, especially with the latest "History of MG with Playstation" trailer that was put out. And while it wasn't as prominent, SCEE's channel also do feature the latest MGS trailers from E3 and Gamescom. Asia/EU also has the MGSV bundles.

On the other hand, SCEA's channel only only feature... MGSV E3 2014's trailer. Nothing from the E3 2013 one (which is on Xbox's channel), and nothing from E3 2015 and beyond.

Now, the 2013/2014 ones being on different channels due to potential shifts on which platform holder was given the reveal trailer at the respective point of time, that's fair. But it seems like after 2014, the American side of SCE, and Xbox in general appears to basically have gotten nothing and is either not allowed, or is actively not featuring MGS related content on their own channels.

That on its own isn't all that strange, but then we see SCEE and SCEJ allowed to, and they're the regions with the MGSV bundle too.

What the heck happened?

I just did the back up to external HHD and then transfer to a new 2 TB last week and PT worked perfectly. Make sure to back up first before trying to switch out the drive!

With my launch PS4, I switched the 500GB internal for a new 1TB before even switching the unit on, so had to go through the initialisation process for the console. My plan this time:

- Old PS4: Use the Backup option to put game & save files on to an external HDD
- New PS4: Switch internal drive out for new 2TB drive
- Perform initialisation process (with .PUP file on USB stick at the ready)
- Use Restore option to copy files from external drive on to the new internal.

Apologies of this has been answered, but what version is this PS4? At first I heard it was the new 1TB model. Then GAME themselves and other's said it was the old launch model. Now I'm hearing it's the newer less power hungry PS4 but with 500GB instead. Which is it?

Looks like it's the new model with a 500GB of space. Pretty disappointing they didn't throw in the 1TB to be honest.

its the new model but unfortunately with 500gb.

i pre-ordered this the moment it showed up on saturn.de
so fucking pumped up.

i kind of regret it that i didnt bite when we had that gc-offer in germany(ps4+1tb=300€) but hell i pay 420€ for the best design+fancy controller and the game.

love that print on the cover and think that konami is making a mistake NOT putting the shinkawa art on the cover of the game.

Thanks. Yeah I while have wanted the larger storage, but I think I'll be fine. Needed the space before since I shared the PS4 with other people. But by buying this one I'll have one to myself so I should be fine with 500GB. My brother's can do with the 1TB I put in the PS4 we already have.

I was wondering the same thing.
What happened?
Its weird they went with the Destiny Bundle instead of the Metal Gear Solid bundle for the US. but i think it has to do with certain color systems not selling well in the US.

I pre ordered mine a few days ago. Im in the US so of course i had to import it. I did mine through the Euro Amazon website. I have a 2TB hard drive in my ps4, so ill be transferring over all my stuff from there.

I hope that some how the left the heat sensitive buttons on the MGS ps4 tho. I liked that feature with the launch ps4

I bought a 2TB drive to replace the 500gb one, what do i have to do after switching the drive?
What .PUP file are you talking about?

Gamestop took payment from me today o_O. Didn't get a notification, was checking paypal and saw the 399.99 euros pop up.
aaand it's £10 more due to exchange rate fluctuations =/. £300.

You will get it on one of them days, they use dpd or ups for next day or 2 day delivery from experience.

I ordered one on Amazon Spain.

My only fear is that EU won't get CUH1200...
With Amazon Spain using the picture of CUH1200, I'm hoping that I'm getting the new one.

Good luck to anyone who ordered this, hope all EU gets the CUH1200...it doesn't make sense from Sony's Site using the old models unless they want to those older models to be gone...

Hmm, with Gamestop's price possibly going up to 300+ and GAME going down to 320 (415 with collectors) maybe ordering from them wouldn't be so bad?
Has anyone who ordered the console by card had the money taken from their account, because reading around it seems only those who paid via PayPal have had the money taken from their account.

From the Connections in the back, it looks like the CUH1200 version.
They have moved the connections, AFAIK.
The New PS4 Model ends with the Network Connection now and older versions ended with the AUX port...in the it looks like it's the Network port.

That gives me hope...however, really strange..if you look at the packaging in the beginning, they have somehow blurred the model number that is now present in the down right corner...

Yeah, the reason I pointed out that it may be the UK version as I know there has been confusion on whether this is the new PS4 SKU or the old one and I remember earlier in this thread that a Gaffer pointed out that PlayStation France stated it was the old.

I really do hope its the CUH1200. Well shall find out next Tuesday when my new PS4 arrives :p

They've just confirmed in the comments on the video that it's the 1200 model. Feel much better about preordering this now!
