If PSN used all my download speed I would be able to download the patch in under 20 minutes.

Knowing Psn it'll take a couple of hours.

Check carefully - he talks about using motes to level the Ally - he doesn't say that's all that is needed to get a nechro - maybe he has a crux already.

I have 90 Mbps down, but my PS4 gets like 5 Mbps down... do you do anything special to get extra download speeds on your PS4?

Has there been confirmation of those two shaders going away? I wouldn't be surprised about the Eris Morn ones though as she is moving.

You seem to overestimate the PSN servers... :D

Also, the patch will probably be smaller than 18GB guys.
This is the size we need on the disk; those downloads are compressed, bandwidth is expensive!

He does.

He's using motes to level his ally. Then he's using his crux to turn it into a Necro. The only thing worth noting here is something he's already announced; using motes to level weapons.

In all seriousness, if working on Destiny was my actual full-time job I'd probably spend less of my free time going back to it. That said, these guys all look pretty cool. I'd love to see them stream some play sessions.

Specially the dude who designed the super animations. He got so hyped describing the Titan Hammer animation in that first Vidoc, special effects and everything. I'm sure the banter between these guys would be pretty funny to tune into if they ever stream themselves playing their creations.

You've made your point abundantly clear and I respect it, as well as your clear and non-aggressive manner of expressing it - something many fail to do. Ultimately we'll agree to disagree if you don't mind :)

I know these things won't happen, and perhaps you're right - maybe it's for the best. But I'll still firmly believe that there should be skill rewards in the game; there currently aren't any.

I wouldn't be envious of Drizzay or Zoba, to name only two of the many here, having stuff I'm not good enough to have. Or at least no more envious than I am of like pro athletes getting their medals and stuff :p It'd just be something they deserve and could proudly display.

After burnout on some game development, including a few unreleased ones I couldn't even play other games for about 2 years, made me cynical and just looking at the mechanics and how games cheat, rather than enjoying the outcome.


Change of industry made me love gaming again.

I'd find it difficult to play Destiny if I was working on it, especially if they are doing 10-12 hours days, no holidays and going back to a build that has already privately been improved on.

I have 120mb down but the best I can get wified is like 2mb and wired MAYBE 50 if the gods are pleased with my sacrifices.

I dont know what else to do beside opening all ports and enabling upnp

Honestly, it's kind of random.

I just downloaded Journey this weekend which was just shy of 5 gigs in about 12 minutes.

Sometimes I get great times, sometimes I don't. Whatever the variable is, I'm pretty sure it's out of my control.

I'm physically located in the Midwest. Central IL, specifically. So if there are servers in the St. Louis or Chicago area, I'm probably pulling from there.

Btw how many Crucible wins are you guys sitting on? My card is glitched I'm 100% certain.

It says I have 8700 wins, but that'd mean 23 wins a day for a full year, every single day. And lol that makes no sense. Does it count x6 when you get a win in 6v6 or something?

This has been my experience as well. From maxing out my FiOS to crawling along at less than a mbps for the same download.

No idea but I'm not risking it. I hope the ones Eris Morn sell don't go since I haven't reached the last one and I really want it.

It used to count the number of people in your fire team as individual wins for you, yes. Not anymore, though.

It used to do that for most of the year. I'm not 100% sure but I think it changed in a fairly recent patch.

You no longer get grimoire credit for your fireteams kills or for your fireteams skirmish and salvage wins etc... You definately used to get it.

Makes sense. I only started playing 3v3 a few months ago so it makes sense that my number is basically 6x what it actually should be.

I played Control almost exclusively until sometime after Dark Below, and then started to favor the 3v3 playlists.

I've also been to Mercury like 8 times, so that alone would be (8*3*9) 216 games, so something isn't adding up.
