get hype
Greg fusion.

The last two episodes have been a wonderful return to form. And I'm not just talking about the plot advancement. The pacing and character development for the recent Peridot episodes have been far more natural and interesting than those for Nightmare Hospital, Sadie's song, and Friend Ship. With the latter group, the story seemed to rush too fast (e.g. Garnet and Pearl making up within a few seconds), some characters acted unbelievably (Connie's mom), or the story was just boring (Sadie's Song). Hope the next one one keeps it up!

I'm still calling the reveal
of the Gem class structure, based on how Peridot treats Pearl like a service robot. Also calling it that all "Quartz" class Gems are warriors, and that Rubies, Sapphires, Lapis Lazulis are in the same terraforming class.

Also, that Peridot & Pearl's interactions'll be adorable.

Weird, my cable guide says teen titans go is at 4:45. Did they really cut out the second Steven universe episode with more teen titans go?

Ended up not being able to find it in stock, however I did pick up the first volume of the SU graphic novel. It was au$20.

Anyone else bought any of these? Looks like Australia just started getting them physically.

I have the GN Collected Volume 1 as well as the Guide to the Crystal Gems.
I love the comics. The different art styles and lighthearted stories are fun.

The Guide is definitely intended for a younger audience, but it's cute nonetheless.
It had some confirmation of things that hadn't been confirmed yet to my knowledge, like the fact that
there are more than one of each type of gem.

That was pretty good.
The whole 'building contest' segment was cliche typical cartoony stuff but I loved everything else. Great to finally get confirmation about the maid servant thing.

Very cool episode. I guess it's safe to assume fusion is looked down upon because it blurs the line between gem classes.

Pearl with that sucker punch!

Lovely episode.
Pearls seem more like a status symbol than anything. They're supposed to "Stand around and look pretty" and take orders.

Hah. Didn't expect a
giant robot right.
Also cool that the
"Pearls are mass produced and/or servants" theory is true.

On the flip side of things the Peridot class seems to be one of high technical skill but also of blue collar roughneck origins given that one comment.

Another great episode.
Plenty of gem lore and more Pearl development! That sucker punch was great too.

Great episode. Makes me wonder if Pearl was originally Rose's servant turned friend. Guess that also explains her over the top devotion to Rose/Steven.

This certainly shifts the dynamic between Pearl and Rose just a bit.

"My Pearl."

So Pearl was probably originally Rose's servant pearl.

Yep. It seems like Homeworld might be okay with fusion so long as it's between gems of the same type/class.

Yeah, I'm thinking Too Far. Barn Mates is also a possibility, but considering we might not even get that far in...

I'd say we'll get to the midseason season finale. We just got done with episode 20. It wouldn't make sense at all to stop at 21 when the midseason finale is just a couple episodes away

A little too slice of lifey, but it was cool finally getting confirmation of Pearls being manufactured servants on Homeworld, and Peridot seems to be another class of being as well.

Having said that, the Gems are a little too laissez faire about Peridot. It feels like they've already accepted her into the fold even though she's spent the better part of the season trying to kill them.

Eh, Garnet can squish Peridot like the adorable insect that she is.
