They mentioned once that it only takes away control from your first person avatar for 1 scene (perhaps the opening scene).

Otherwise, the entire game is hl1 - hl2 style I believe.

As soon as they convince me that it will be good, I'm giving them my money for early access to those missions. I need some good singleplayer space combat action in my veins. Freespace 2 was released so long ago...

Ok so at the top of the chat column where it has the name of where you are, to the left there should be a button you can click, where it lists chat channels and group channels.
What's happens is you give me your twitch name then i send you an invite and then you accept if from that menu, and you should be in the chat, while still watching the con.

Sorry if i explained it crap, the instructions are in one of this years E3 threads and i can't find it at the mo.
