2. Lol no. All players will get a prod for inactivity, regardless of role or alignment.
I don't like to do prod votes myself, but have no problem with other people doing it. It becomes a different case if those votes stay until the end of the day, since "I voted for him because he didn't post!" is a very easy way for scum to vote on a townie while avoiding suspicion.
If this inactivity continues, I am sure Sorian will prod him.

Yeah, that's essentially what I'm saying here. I mean, its fine but I disagree with prod voting in the 2nd half of the day.

But why would I claim now? Sure, I have some votes on me, but it's still some ways away from Day End.
You see, I'm not claiming because I'm fearing for my life, I'm claiming because of RAGE's power and how it interacted with my actions.
Last night, because of his interactions with our favorite CornBurrito, and RAGE pointing it out with those sick gifs, I checked on our lovely pal SquidyJ, and my result was that he was Town. Obviously, I kept quiet, because I don't claim at the start of the Day Phase anymore. Additionally, I knew enough of Gafia to know that switchers exist and could have messed with my results. However, when RAGE came out today and showed proof-positive of him having taken SquidyJ's vote, I realized that squidyj likely wasn't swapped with anyone, unless we have some scum-switching shenanigans with RAGE pulling out plays to scratch heads until the end of GAF as we know it. For one thing, I take it to mean RAGE is actually Town, because as Scrafty discussed earlier in the thread, the play where a Scum RAGE would use his power on a Scum SquidyJ would be to help try to distance RAGE from SquidyJ. However, since I read SquidyJ as Town, that theory goes out the window in my eyes. After that, we have the possibility that Scum RAGE used his power on a Town SquidyJ. While this is still a possibility, I find it less likely to believe because of RAGE's willingness to share his role, but that's my theory, so it could be wrong. Finally, we come to the possibility that Town RAGE used his power on Town SquidyJ, and I believe this to be the truth because of RAGE's explanation on stealing the vote from SquidyJ via the reason that SquidyJ was one of his accusers. Again, not 100% positive, but it makes sense in my mind.

uhm. wot. I do not understand this at all.
In the situation where he is lying I would caution that whoever skye is. or whoever alignment cop is (assuming we have one) should not necessarily counterclaim.
I would counterclaim here if I got a red check on n1, we'd get 2 scum out of the way. but if I just had a green check i'd probably leave it for now at least.

Additionally, at that point in the day, I wasn't 100% convinced by the result of my investigation, so I treated the result with a grain of salt.

And what the fuck does that actually give us? That zeke is probably not scum? Great, most people already thought that. And it's not even a certainty, but just speculation. And now that you are outed you will either get killed or role blocked, especially with our watcher dead. Good job, you wasted one of the most powerful town powers to confirm one towny and.... Eh... but what does that do for town?
- if you're telling the truth then you're target number 1 for mafia.
- I wasn't at risk of being killed so you didn't exactly do me a huge favor or save town from a mislynching
- you were high in the votes but there were 2 days for that to turn around so you could avoid claiming

So squidy is town, but I don't see how that guarantees Ezekiel.
But I will say that I consider Lana and M de M as sort of similar in terms of names (people who were suspects). So I'm more inclined to really believe Ezekiel.

That's how we fucking wrecked scum in Dangan. Our alignment cop played up being a sleepwalker and scum let him live for days. After he died we went over his read lists and basically cleared like.... 5 people.

I think Xam's point was more that Ezekiel's action confirms Squidy wasn't switched last night, which makes his result more reliable.

We also need to hope scum has no watcher in the event of 3. Otherwise we'll basically lose our protector N3 and cop N4.
Ok, so... That was pretty early for a Seer claim. Like, there are still 2 days left, and you basically either outed yourself for the Injust (If truthful) or made us wildly suspicious of your decision to out you already (If not). Or both. Either way, the only way I can see this being a plan that works out is if your goal was to get people suspicious of you, get them to kill you, and then get us to kill a player that we assumed was your partner.
... And then possess another player from beyond the grave. Isn't that right... DAHLIA HAWTHORNE??!Damn, I wish I actually had evidence to make that case.

I'd also like to comment on how weird it was that Crimson jumped onto Squidy's prod vote towards Hipster. I mean, granted, it's because I find the prod vote weird to begin with since it hasn't been that long (Granted, being without GAF access for at least 10 hours a day has probably affected my judgment on the matter). But Squidy suggested he'd make a prod vote as of Saturday morning. Then Crimson just tagged on immediately after it was made (With Xam beating Squidy to the punch). I dunno. That seems a little askew, even if it's hardly noticeable in the face of a D2-2 reveal.

Though it does lead to a fun WIFOM in that scum needs to worry about the protector thinking they were watched and then protecting themselves.

Balance wise, I would suspect scum to have a way to get around protection. A strongman kill, switcher or role blocker (so that they can just block Xam indefinitely) is likely, or else you get the "protect the cop" problem.

I am completely against lynching Xam today. If he's not the cop, he'll be caught eventually when the real cop claims/dies or if Xam lives until endgame.

Thing with that is, the longer it goes and he is just lying or scum cop, it puts us in a bad spot as town. This is a very weird spot for us.
Maybe, but if scum had no way to circumvent protection, we could create something similar to "the blarg tank" in hp, where it took us as scum 3 nights before we could kill the outed cop, and we had to just pray he didn't target us. That was honestly a result from terribly designed roles and how they could interact with each other,and i suspect Sorian to not make those same mistakes.

If I were a Scum cop, wouldn't it be in my better interest to paint you as Scum instead of Town? Town was on the fence about you anyway, and it would have been a sweet snag early on.
