I'm curious how many posters who were so quick to label the OP as gay would also label a woman gay because she experimented with another girl once but has otherwise been in exclusively heterosexual pairing.

Exactly this. I also know many friends who identify as gay, but have slept with women before. I haven't gone all the way with a woman, but have experimented. Do not consider myself bi at all and it would never ever happen again

I have to agree. I am in the opinion that humans are much more loose and curious as a species when it comes to sexualitiy than people believe. Committing a homosexual act once or twice for curiosity's sake doesn't make you gay, in my mind. I think it's pretty normal for a lot of people to experiment their sexualities once or twice, usually to make sense of what it could be or because they simply want to try it out. Then there's cases when having sex with someone of the same sex is seen as convenient rather than desired, such as people in prison or in militaries.
