According to Sefton Hill's twitter, after they took it down from Steam, they allocated developers from Rocksteady to try and fix it.

They still couldn't get it to work properly. So they gave up.

You don't expect me to believe that they didn't know about the issues. Of course they did. They chose to put it out anyway. Rocksteady is just as much to blame as WB or Iron Galaxy.

the blame should go 100% on WB and no one else. Not Iron Galaxy or Rocksteady

Not really a surprise that WB are snubbing their PC customers with this remaster. That's standard operating procedure.

Appears that it's going to be 30fps on consoles (based on the trailer being 30fps and no mention of a framerate boost in the PR), so there is now not going to be a definitive version of these games.

Origins is the weakest imo, but it is still an odd omission.

Overall this seems like a poor way to handle a remaster.

WB decides when the game gets released not Rocksteady. Rocksteady can't stop them.

I'll not pick this up because I played both and loved both. Still a nice addition to the PS4 catalog for those who haven't played it.

Kind of weird Origins isn't in this, that's the only one I haven't played and I'd probably buy it for that.

So excited. I can't wait to replay these.

I've been kicking myself for trading in the cheap copy of Asylum -- the best one -- that I bought, even though I got a great deal. I missed it when it was free, too.

I bought one version, played most of it, then got sidetracked. When I decided to go back to it, I opted to play the other version and sold the original one. That's why I got it cheap. I had picked it up at launch.

I'd love to replay these games, but why not Origins?

I didn't got to play it when it was released because I was already on the PS4 bandwagon.

It'll be a real shame for me is these remasters don't run at 60fps. Just imagine the free flow combat running at 60fps on console.

Origins doesn't need a full remaster, but I agree that it deserves to be in this collection.

I could see them doing a port of it as DLC like ODST was for the Master Chief Collection.

I wonder if the combat in AA is getting updated to currently standards. It has single target issue and whatnot. But WOW, to play that game with better textures and everything would be AMAZING!

not every game needs 60fps ;)

But regardless, is this really Unreal Engine 4? Doesnt really look different. Sure would explain why there is no fps bump.

Batman at 60FPS is so wonderful though. The PC versions are just pure eye candy with the cape flowing and jumping around smacking dudes around.

Why isn't 'Origins' included...

Origins was a buggy mess with some of the most tacked-on multiplayer to ever get added to an IP, and I'm glad that WB is ignoring it's existence.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
That's probably because not even WB would have the nerve to sell a marked-up copy to PC gamers who already bought the games for peanuts already. UE4 or not they don't look any better than the already glorious PC versions, which indeed run at a decent FPS too.

Looolllll whatever. You're taking PC fanboyism to just about the limit right now.

I primarily play on the PC and I can admit that this version looks better than the existing PC versions I own due to the PBR shading implementation of UE4 alone especially in that screen with Batman holding Joker.

WB are a hack publisher. I really dislike them. Probably the worst for pre-order bullshit and DLC. Scummy company.

RS are ace though, and I am a little disappointed Origins is missing. I know it's a different dev, but still.

Weird, I could've sworn this was announced not that long ago. Not interested, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who haven't played these.

I already own these on multiple platforms, but I will buy it again. The Arkham series is one of my favorite of all time....can't resist.

Any guesses on if there will be an Knight Game of the Year edition? Maybe this holiday season?

No Origins? Will definitely buy. I still have my PS3 copy with all the game breaking bugs they never bothered to fix.

Looks like WB is not confident enough to release a PC versio after what happened with AK. Oh well, here's hoping the BioShock remaster is worth double dipping.

What are the chances WB will add Origins Remastered, but only as part of a $120 Special Limited Collectors Edition of Batman: Return to Arkham?

At least that bug doesn't seem to have ruined your game.

I was 10 hours into Origins before I fell through the floor into a void and the game autosaved, forcing me to restart the entire fucking thing because it doesn't have multiple saves.

Even if the game wasn't buggy, it's still my least favorite because of how they slowed down Batman's punches in the combat when the enemies seemed to be the same speed. It just made it feel like he was stuck in molasses when he slowly winds up his punch and a random goon lightly bops you on the back of the head ruining your combo.

It's also almost impossible to unlock everything in the first playthrough because some stuff is gated behind completing Challenges that HAVE to be completed in order. If you solve a later challenge first it doesn't count and you'll need to do it again once you're allowed to. The challenges are also bugged; I spent forever trying to get a Stealth section challenge (one where there are only about 2 spots in the entire game where it's possible to get) and once I did it it didn't trigger.

And I'm sure they'll throw in that collector's edition Batmobile they cancelled too, since we're dreaming.

... Prove me wrong, WB.

I may buy this, the remaster does look pretty nice.

Origins deserves to be there though. People wrote it off prematurely as soon as they heard it was being done by another studio. But it's a fine addition to the series and definitely worthy of being on a remastered collection.

Not to mention that parts of it ran like sludge on PS3, so it'd be nice to see it at a smooth frame rate on console.
