I'm guessing MAME - which I've never set up before. Is it quite demanding spec wise?

Here are the minimum specs required:

Intel Core series CPU or equivalent, at least 2.0 GHz
32-bit OS (Vista SP1 or later on Windows, 10.9 or later on Mac)
4 GB RAM
DirectX 9.0c for Windows
A Direct3D, or OpenGL capable graphics card
Any DirectSound capable sound card/onboard audio

get the MAMEUI version easier to setup imo.

Okdoke. I'll give it a go. Thanks!

Chris T is upset. Wonder what does he think of Ken's air ex tatsu?!

So good coming from a Ken player.

Smash fans can be immature. Pray such events don't happen in the real FGC.

Though seriously, I can never comprehend why people can get so angry over a game. Get a life, there's more stuff out there worth raising your fist in fury over.

Don't you understand! The character he lost to was bullshit! (He lost against an Ike).

Finalburn, the poor man's MAME, is also another alternative

I got in running fine on MAMEUI64. I need to figure out the control setup or see if my fightstick can work with it, but I'll get to play it in some form. =)

It's not the conventional fighter I thought it was, but it's interesting. Visually it's fantastic.

Funny thing is that most consider both of those two characters of similar strength and on the lower half of the tier list. Like, at least if it was Marth or Corrin he would have ground to stand on(not really, no)

I won't name names, but a guy in my Persona pool last year raged, slammed his stick, and stormed off. I was the one who put him into losers while incidentally my friend was the one that knocked him out of losers side lol

He got mad at his friends cheering behind him. :/

Sorry about that persona does that to me ;~;

It's not just a game, it's competition. Surely you can comprehend how someone who puts a lot of work into something could have an emotional reaction to losing?

Most of them should realize that they're nothing more than pot monsters, stepping stones for the actually talented to advance forward. If they just accept and come to terms with that role in their pathetic and miserable lives they'd be happier for it.

I just watched some Danganronpa. More seriously I can understand why you'd be angry, but I feel some get too emotional. True they're there to compete but also to have fun. Nothing fun about ruining a controller and looking like an ass to others on screen.
Even one of my friends does this at time, and we only play with each other. What's worse is that it's my controller he throws
Then again IRL I'm a pretty reserved person who often tries to keep everything in control and not show emotion or what I'm really thinking in any given situation, especially in front of people I don't know well.

so uh . . . the olympics

what would it take for fighting games to get there? how much time? is it impossible? or just require the stars to align?

or

what would it look like if fighting games were at the olympics? how would qualifying work? what would the structure be? double elim? first to 7? maybe round robin the entire way?

Chris Tatarian's tweets are getting more attention than the actual matches that were played

Street Fighter V!
Yeah, because VS grand finals were at 10am pst. People are actually awake now.

You sound mad that people on Twitter want to comment on something a person said on Twitter.

this is already the darkest timeline without this shit
There's already and independent org trying to do an eSports Olympics alongside the Rio Olympics. It's uh, pretty low rent.

There used to be writing and painting events at the Olympics in the past. I believe the oldest ever Olympic medal winner is a writer. So it wouldn't be unusual to have a game at the Olympics.
