Please. As someone who likes fun animation, I couldn't be happier with the style of Sun and Moon. It has cartoony looseness, smears, bouncy character motion, and dynamic action - what's not to like?

Real Miyazaki feel to the new art style, I can dig it. Looks great in motion. Lots of people cherry-picking bad still frames, inbetweens, etc though. That stuff looks weird because it's driving the motion, you aren't supposed to see it on it's own.

Oh well.

Seems like a fresh concept for the series, which is probably good after 20 years of the same old stuff. And the setting should be a lot of fun too.

I was concerned it might be Orange Islands 2.0, which would have been terrible, but this seems like it should be pretty fun.

Sure, but that's because of current trends and societal standards on what constitutes "good animation," and that stuff changes over time. There's no way that you can actually say The Simpson's animation is objectively bad. It's just popularly considered to be bad, but that's still subjective.

Pulling an "opinion card" doesn't make the claim irrefutable. Opinions are mean to be discussed and so when it's put to the table it is open for scrutiny. He says it's better, I say it's not. Why have a discussion thread if you don't discuss things despite the air of subjectivity.

As for your second point, you might as well consider nothing is objective. Truly a copout statement especially when actual subjective thought have people willing to go against it.

I mean seriously I shouldn't be the one being told about subjectivity, like I'm one of the few people who actually talk about non-Disney/Pixar animated films in the board lol

Yeah this. Naruto vs Pain has really great animation but has a shitty artstyle. While obviously this looks better, it still is lacking due to the lack of shades and the general flat looking colors.

I, for example hate the artstyle in the Naruto vs Pain fight because i think it's unfitting and gave the fight a more comical tone.
