I originally only posted this in response to one person, but i'll put it out as a response to everyone who seems to feel like they need righteous indignation to protect either one of the Presidential candidates 'honor'.
They're not even remotely compatible, nor is Hillary some "lesser evil", essentially denigrating how incredibly qualified she is, and the very progressive platform she's running with, which includes being the only candidate that has openly discussed and supported the kind of issues Kaep is talking about.
It's narrow-minded nonsense that screams naivety.
Let's be clear:
Colin Kaepernick does not have the obligation to prop up a politician or a political candidate in favor of what his essential views on justice are just because you might feel the need to do so.
He may feel that neither Clinton, nor Trump legitimately are what this country needs, or what this country deserves in order to tackle the issues he raises.
If he does not believe that Hillary Clinton or Donald trump as political candidates for the Presidency of the United States of America legitimately care about black people, criminal justice reform, or the country in favor of their own job security, their own checks and their own egos of political posturing, that is his right to believe.
He doesn't have to automatically equate them to be 'the same' to make his point. as far as i can tell, he never said they were the exact same to begin with.
