Is Doom getting a PS4 Pro patch?
I've asked Tiago Sousa a couple times on Twitter but no answer even though he often responds. Is Doom getting a PS4 Pro patch?
Considering many people were saying it would never do native 4k, I'd say the list is pretty impressive. That list in OP is significantly smaller than I anticipated

Did they say what rendering technique they are using? because saying it's 4K doesn't = native 4K. (well not what people are used to native 4K meaning anyway) It's more complicated now because checkerboard rendering & these other techniques are actually 4K when you pixel count it's just not brute force 4K rendering.

iirc 1800p checkerboarded to 4K
Mark Cerny said it's 1800p.
OTOH, this list is bigger than I thought. That list in OP is significantly smaller than I anticipated

There's far too much misrepresentation along these lines, so I'm glad to see a few people trying to set the record straight. 1800p is 2.78x the pixel count of 1080p so it's invariably going to refer to 50% coverage using checkerboard-style temporal reconstruction to to produce full 1800p frames. Scaling will take the resulting 1800p image to 2160p or 1080p as appropriate for your display.
Technically the render target is actually 900p with 2xSSAA but most people will misinterpret this as sub-1080p when in practice it's really 1800p with 50% coverage in a checkerboard pattern.
Neon Chrome should be supporting native 4k (and 60fps) on ps4pro. Great rogue like twin stick shooter btw!

Is there a list of 1080p Pro mode improvements for people without 4K/HDR?
All of the games?
The Pro downclocks itself to vanilla PS4 specs for unpatched games.
He said "Pro mode improvements" not "Ps Pro improvements".
For games that have Pro mode compatibility, they will all benefit on a 1080p screen.
I think 1080p-only owners are hoping for more than just downsampling though.
If a game is patched for PS4 Pro support, it can have any number of benefits, all of which are to a degree beneficial to 1080p owners. He said "Pro mode improvements" not "Ps Pro improvements".

HDR now working on PS4 in Last of us.
You know, gaf, we really are 4k.
Yup.Even vanilla PS4? Eager to test this tonight.
It seems most of the games will be patched and ready for PS4 PRO even before its launch.
If media people has the console now, they need some material to try.
Thanks. Added to OP.
Mark Cerny to Provide More PS4 Pro Info at London Future of Play Event; Nioh Support Confirmed
In few days.
Someone posted the sony support link saying that in order yo get hdr work on og ps4, you have to plug the ps4 directly into the tv, it can not go through any receiver whether it support hdr or not. I just tested LOU, looks like that is really the case!!!!!? I know my receiver support 4k+hdr because my xbone s and pc(Shadow warrior 2) hdr worked perfectly fine with my receiver. Can some one confirm if this is only the case for thr OG PS4? Is this the limitation of hdmi 1.4? I hope sony isnt dump enough to do that for the ps4pro right?!?!?
I have a receiver as well and I want to know this answer as well
Check out this GAF thread. Collectively, we've figured out how to add an HDMI switch into the chain. Long story short, the PS VR Processing Unit is fickle, with special care needed for which HDMI cables are used. How many of you with VR and a 4K set are going to be unplugging cables to get HDR? I'm thinking buying a HDMI Switch is going to be my best option. Still can't believe this was overlooked by Sony, what were they thinking?
They're full of shit, end of discussion. So long as the AVR is doing pass through, then you're golden.Someone posted the sony support link saying that in order yo get hdr work on og ps4, you have to plug the ps4 directly into the tv, it can not go through any receiver whether it support hdr or not.
