Jesus a lot of copies got leaked and sold in UAE.

Also it looks like those on the east coast with the game got it via digital download codes, which is hilarious when digital preorders are locked until the 29th but a redemption code will download the game and all the digital day one stuff now. Lol

Woah woah where?!

Any good impressions yet? Some people have it for like a week now, should be long enough to play through it all once right?

Ok someone needs to tell me where can I get one of those digital codes if they actually work.

I'll paypal 30€ just for a tip if it leads to me getting a damn code :p

7 hours in. Chapter 3. Having a blast. Dungeons are really well done.

Battle system is super fun but I don't think it will really evolve a lot in the latter chapters, which worries me a bit. Hunts are addictive for the mere fact of how different every monster feels to fight. Side quest are mostly meh, but there're some really charming ones.

Love the characters and the dialogue a lot - I think I'm the targer audience -. Can't wait for the story to ramp up, there's very, very little story in the chapters I played.

The story will ramp up alright, lol.

God I'm so jelly, getting my copy tomorrow hopefully!

How are the character interactions? Are they any better than the demo? ND quality maybe?

I apologize for not reading through the whole thread, but I have a very important question. How is the game structured? Are you forced to do side quest stuff or can you enjoy the story in a streamlined way. This is potentially my first final fantasy because everything about it looks really appealing, but I would really hate it to be dragged on longer then it needs to be. I'd appreciate any reply in here or a PM.

Actually not true.

Really? My bad, sorry for the misinformation. The only thing I've seen done before is buying a Japanese game on XBL, and then swapping back to US/EU store where it downloads the English copy ahead of release. Simply because the XBL marketplace is region free. People were doing this with DS3.

Now that has been cleared up, watch madness start in here for finding out where digital codes are coming from... lol.

Yes my local store had it as well. ( not in US ) but I decided to wait. told me tomorrow or day after they will get the steel book edition. and I want that ( all my final fantasy games on PS4 are like that ) for collection purposes.

To be honest I am not even in rush to play it as I want to play it on 60 fps 1080 hd mode update that is coming in Dec. so I m just going to buy it right now for the support of the developers and because the limited edition.

It's an open world JRPG I'd be surprised if there aren't a hundred required fetch quests.

The only ones that aren't hidden dont seem to be missable unless sidequest themselves happen to be missable. 20 of them are hidden
Cheers, will probably play through it twice anyway

Don't mind if the story is batshit stupid as long as it's engaging and there's a decent amount of it

Won't be too bad if the combat stays fun. The masochist in me wants FF12's loot drop rate grinding to come back. As much as I hate RNG, it always feels good when something rare drops.

I actually have no idea how loot in FF15 is going to be handled. I hope it's not another shitty buy everything from a shop affair. Please be a bit more like FF12.

When you buy directly from Steam/PSN/XBL or whatever, you are locked to their times. But voucher codes, as Kagari said, are active earlier. Review copies are being sent that way.

I implore you to go the spoiler thread if you want to see shit going down.

Man, waiting 10 years and then spoiling yourself a week before the game releases just sounds depressing. As much as I want to know what people are supposedly freaking out about, I'd rather wait a little more.

Really hoped for more than 6 summons but that does not seem like the case :(

I can tell you for a fact that there are more than six summons in the game. The Six mentioned in lore and Carbuncle already make seven, and Kingsglaive strongly suggests an eighth when taken with the Judgment trailer. I would doubt we will get more than that though.

I heard Leviathan and lost all restraint. I made a big mistake. I haven't gone back since.

Yeah, are they freaking out about in a good way or a bad one so far ? Don't want to spoil myself.

Yeah I know review copies can go out like that, but I always assumed they were unique codes. Not the same as say a Gamestop code which might not work until a day before release or at midnight of release.

Either way if consumer codes are redeemable this far in advance that's awesome for anyone who gets one! It's primarily why I do prefer buying everything physically, no waiting on digital purchases unlocking. Most online retailers in the UK get games to you a day or two in advance.

I'm really excited about unique monsters and interesting hunts! Also, good dungeons. What's the last offline FF to have interesting dungeons? IX I'd say.

Sounds open world to me. I miss the old days when FF games open with a bang.

However, I'm also with you on this one -- I don't mind semi-open world, but I want to be pulled along by a strong narrative.

Witcher 3, by far my favorite semi-open world RPG has an engaging story, but it takes a good 10 hours before it really picks up, and I was lukewarm on the game up that point.
