Any ebay disc guy people, update this thread when your order goes from pre-shipment to shipped and on the way. Keeping an eye on it...one of the guys who ordered yesterday said it updated around 5/6 PM EST.

Of course GAF is never wrong. When the game comes out and it's really good it'll be because of paid reviews obviously. And anyone who claims to like it in a message board is an astroturfer or something.

I am not reading that thread. But if those guys read the spoilers and stuff, and don't like it, it has the tendency to be true, even with their hyperbole. And my post was half serious.

I only trust GAF when GAF actually played the game. If you trust GAF pre-release you'd think NMS is the best game ever.

who cares about what people on a forum think about a game that they probably haven't even played yet. wait until monday when official reviews are posted. some people just have this mentality where they want to see a game fail no matter how good it is bc it didn't meet their nostalgia factor from 10-15 years ago.

I understand the negativity being something that can get to you, but you should try not to see people being critical as enemies. The game will speak for itself very soon and they're just people on a forum expressing opinions like you or I. A game changing the formula this much is bound to be examined under a microscope.
Where can I watch Pachter these days now GT isn't a thing.

I'm always in the spoiler thread for the direct impressions of people playing it, and my view is that the game will be a fun game with a lot of flaws too. A lot of people won't like the game and a lot of people will. Is that enough?

Deep down you know we won't find any in the wild until Friday.
And yet if you had no clue about Destiny in 2016 and read about it on GAF you'd think it was trash and had completely and utterly failed sales wise.
at this point I think people are hating on the game just on principle.
here an analogy:
it's like you wait in a restaurant for a steak but it takes 90 minutes (or more) til the waiter brings the food, at that point it's doesn't matter how good or bad the steak is, you just want to rip them apart and tell them to go fuck themselves.

My post sounded pretty harsh and im not against people being critical, im against people hearing vague criticisms from someone who hasn't even played the game and taking it as gospel that the rest of the game is terrible.
It's aggravating because everybody is so down on something they know nothing about and haven't played, after being excited for a decade. It's really a shame and kind of pathetic.
Like people genuinely are thinking now they would be happy if the meta score was in the 60s. That is absolutely insane.
I guess if you like basing your opinion on a game that isn't even out yet especially from a majority of people who haven't played it
