Smallville's Superman was much better than this. It's like a common trend with DC Universe. Their TV Shows actors are much better than the Movie ones yet they continue to disregard the TV universe altogether and keep failing on the Movie side.

Lmao. It's fine to not like Cavill he ain't doing wonders here but Tom Welling isn't better in the slightest. Stop fooling yourselves with these ridiculous remarks. Just outright say you think the new superman is crap and leave it at that

Casting welling would have been the worst decision they made and that's over suicide squad too

Personally I feel you could say this about Marvel. The Marvel shows are light years better than their movies and yet they disregard them.

In fairness they do show the burnt bodies in the ultimate cut. And I won't direct link the image since, you know, they're burnt bodies. But this is a screenshot http://i.imgur.com/zYggGdM.png

I also think it's cheating to use the director's cut. That's not the frame of reference the vast majority of people have for the plot. It might answer some tertiary questions like the wheelchair and such, but it doesn't fix a lot of the core issues to the narrative.

my argument was that you could burn things to the point where you could reasonably conceal your involvement in a conspiracy to make Superman look irresponsible

and it is ridiculous to argue the logistics of how combustion of human tissue works, but somehow that's where we've driven this conversation towards

I'm done indulging that, have a good one

You're the one mocking and yelling at people while being ignorant. I think it's a good idea to stop posting. You're way to invested in a movie.

my argument was that you could burn things to the point where you could reasonably conceal your involvement in a conspiracy to make Superman look irresponsible

Unfortunately, the film itself disproves those arguments.

I had to study this as part of my degree, so not for me it isn't.

You keep saying this, yet you keep coming back

If that was the case, then why is it that people STILL found bullets in the body/part of the bigger plan? That conspiracy was built on shitty foundation and the start of the most convoluted plan I have ever seen in a superhero movie. Not even Zemo went that far.

I bring up the ultimate cut not to absolve the film of its problems but to say how dumb a decision it was to omit key plot points while keeping the subplots.

Personally I really enjoy the ultimate cut of BvS, and I really enjoyed Civil War, and I believe both have heaps of problems, and I'm fine with that. Sometimes these threads get stuffy with the extremes of loving or hating these things, as entertaining as it can be to participate in them.

Amen to the last part. Bears repeating.

jon bones

hot hot hanuman-on-man action
Why would they? It represents the sound made by Darkseid's mother boxes and he just got done telling Batman that "he" was coming.

because it comes across as laughable instead of well acted?

eisnberg has talent too so you can feel the Snyder coming through here

No, but it fits fine with Lex's mental state at that point.

imagine if DC movies took more care of their characters than this

Autopsy would still show the cause of death via bullets.

Why didn't Lex reveal the identity of superman to everyone and ruin his shit? Much easier, less convoluted plan.

Why was superman written to be such a block head?

This is the main source of confusion with people. Let's look at the witnesses testimony:

witness said:
Like the sky crack open.
He came down, so many dead.
Even worse came after.
The government attacked.
No mercy in the villages.
My parents tried to run...
The world has been so caught up
with what Superman can do,
that...
no one has asked what he should do.
finch said:
Let the record show that
this committee holds him responsible.
witness said:
He'll never answer to you.
He answers to no one.
Not even I think, to god.

Lex wanted it to seem like Superman came down to rescue Lois. The language from the testimony was intentionally ambiguous so people will think Superman came down and killed everyone. Lex paid mercenaries to massacre the villagers and make it seem like there was a power vacuum caused by Superman attacking the rebels which allowing the Nairomi govt to attack.

The special bullets are there to force the CIA to participate in the frameup
If the bullets were revealed to the public it would seem like the US experimented prototype experimental ammunition on African villagers, playing both sides of the conflict by privately arming rebels and publically-supporting the Nairomi government
Plus the fact the US may not want to admit they recklessly carried out drone strikes

Man, you're the one going on for pages about how everyone else is too dumb to understand how burning things works. The logistics of combustion of human tissue seems like a pretty fundamental part of explaining how things burn. And I dare say that flowchart you recommended for me would be remiss without it!

Whatever. Enjoy your holiday.

Sure, let's throw a jab because of a term I used. Would this still fit if I had said "perfectly" instead or would you have used that as an opportunity to make another ass remark?

Your argument is stupid though.

This makes it less stupid than if he was just going DING DING DING for no reason, but its still pretty stupid. Especially since most viewers probably don't get it.

I find that to be a primary issue people have with the movie as a whole. In my experience, at least. There's a lot going that doesn't make any sense to a casual viewer.

It's a play on the preceding words "bell has already been rung" not just mother boxes.

I once saw somebody get mad because Lex says DING DING DING instead of PING PING PING, lol. There's really no pleasing some people. I think that scene would have been seen as being much worse if they went with "ping" instead.
