Sure.

I genuinely believe most people here have a different wedding experience than me, cause I can't think why anybody would find it fun to sit around in a super fancy restaurant with little to no alcohol for 5-8 hours after sitting in a church for 2 hours or so.

yeah the sitting in church part sucks regardless but everything around that is pretty fun. i've been to some great weddings not gonna lie

edit: also yeah alcohol should be plentiful

i didn't, it was on Twitter where Dan tweeted about his goddamn marriage. i am honestly a bit insulted by it. haven't been in this thread for the last few days and suddenly i'm called a creep when i come back.
Well, sorry then. I didn't call you out and only looked at it because someone mentioned it.

1. Most weddings are really fun, black tie, suit, or less. Provided there's alcohol, of course.

2. The only GB-related family member it's OK to objectify is Jeff's cat.

3. It's too bad Drake and Jason are both married, because I would kill to see one of them enter the contest just to spite Dan. It would be the greatest of event in site history.

Alex could get revenge on him for the Guns N Roses Harmonix thing too

The lowest amount of alcohol I've drunk at a wedding is 12 beers and 3 shots of tequila.

I don't even drink so it's extra boring for me. Hope you have fun.

Wrong about commas, wrong about everything
Because thats how I roll.
But i'm being serious. Every job i've had i've had to dress up in some way.

I mean...yeah? I feel like comparing a wedding to your job should be an argument I make and not you.

That's not surprising. I never thought this was the norm, but the 4 weddings I've been to were exactly that. There was some alcohol obviously but nobody was actually supposed to get drunk

I hate suits in general. I'm glad I work in an office that doesn't require me to dress up everyday.
I love suits. Means I don't have to make any effort wondering what to wear each day.
One of two pairs of trousers and 7 shirts (of which only two are ironed at any one time).

I did like at one friend's wedding that once the meal was done, his Dad went upstairs to change into jeans and t-shirt so he could relax for the evening.

I'm not a big fan of dressing up, but I have a suit and tons of collared shirts I wear on most days. T-shirts are weekend or con material at this point. I don't need to "suit up" as it were, but I like to look at least half decent going out most of the time. The rest is when I've given up on life and am running around in sweats and a hoodie.

They don't post because they're sleeping.

You stole my joke.

I guess I should've clarified a job interview and not just a job.
I dunno - dressing up is important for specific events.
I wear jeans all day, but when I interviewed I put on a jacket and tie and some slacks.

And there is a huge difference if you are IN the wedding verses if you are just attending.

Whatever. Wear what you want in the end.

I'm with ya, I love wearing suits when I can.

Granted, I don't work and I've never successfully gotten a job interview, so the only time I really wear suits are funerals and weddings. Plus my suit jacket and slacks were $10 at the Goodwill, but I still like the way I look when I clean up.

Again, I'm not arguing that one shouldn't dress up for a job or a job interview. I never even said anything about a job before my previous post. I also never claimed that dressing up isn't important. I just said I didn't like it.

You were all too busy arguing about who is the bigger creep and wedding suits and alr1ght went out and posted a topic in Gaming. Talk about creepy! :D

Lol,
sounds like you guys have been to some bad weddings.

My wedding was awesome.

Not every wedding is "sit in a church for 2 hours and eat a stuffy dinner".
And I don't want to wear a suit every day, but it is fun for a special occasion.

I think the feeling of being underdressed is one of the worst feelings I can think of. Overdressed is bad, but at least you look fly.

Protestant weddings are somewhat stuffy to begin with, but the reception is where things loosen up some. Catholic weddings tho take far too long and are mostly boring outside of some of the crazier dogmatic moments.

Check your wallet, I stole more than that.
