In this video you can see the Helix player getting the idea of the phalanx shield. Push it out, hide behind it, and use the dragon laser to zone. Even Minmin's big punches and throws get deflected by the shield. It's not perfect since he should always stay behind the shield relative to where Minmin moves to, but it's a different kind of playstyle compared to most matches we've seen where people either spam punches or dodge to the side and counterpunch.

Just realized it's that match where he had a sliver of health left while his opponent had 75% on the final round with the timer at 60 seconds left. Within the next 25 seconds, he dodged all attacks, consistently made hits and double hits after opponent wakeup, made a comeback and won the round. Probably the best display of how "controllable" the game can be instead of random flailing to win matches.

There was talk about a spectator mode, but I think the side by side screen is what they want to use to show matches. It's probably the most easy to understand and you can rewatch every game to look at the other player's perspective. Not sure if they intend for players to play using splitscreen though. If it's fullscreen for each player during matches, that would mean that the splitscreen would have to be a spectator mode.

I know this is asking a lot, but has anyone posted some kind of system guide yet?

I'm kinda having a hard time following what's going on outside of the obvious stuff (like how guarding with Mummy recharges 10 health or whatever and he has some kind of armor).

EDIT:

Like, I'm watching this video:

There's a part where MOV and Abadango do Ribbon Girl mirror matches and MOV looks like he's trying to set up some kind of wakeup meaty, but it's not landing for some reason and I don't know what the properties of wakeup are lol

Everyone is still finding that out these stuff. It's a new system and it's hard to know if you can even properly meaty wake ups and what the wake up options are. For that video it's obvious that Mechanica has not fully stood up yet when he made the throw attempt so it whiffed. You can't hit a knocked down opponent.

It looks like the screenshot button isn't disabled based on the popups that you can see in the corner: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RINfuUKEuo4
Seems like the counter punching system is "physics" based. Normally Master Mummy's big punch beats the other punches head on but notice how Ribbon girls combined punches was able to push a single big punch back.

Certainly makes the game less predictable.

Probably just a super thing.

Doesn't seem like anyone is uploading the second part of day 2.

This one is the highest damage super I've seen yet.

Maybe the "combos" of this game will come mainly from the supers since they are manually controlled. We know a punch after a bounce does 20 damage, so the extra damage probably comes from the three revolver mini punches, and then another 10 damage from somewhere else.

Also since it seems anything can be cancelled into a super, I wonder if you can hit confirm a normal punch into a super. That probably depends on distance as well.

It seems like you get something off of a wall bounce... I thought it was only one hit, but that GIF looks like you get more if the move is fast enough?
