8 seconds of .5 second long quickly cut clips barely register as gameplay for me.

Wolfenstein and Evil Within look amazing, so glad they're both out this year (same month too! damn)
But everything else.... yeah, not great

also really weird they didn't just announce the date for Skyrim Switch, maybe saving that for Tuesday idk

VR: Boring and uninformative presentation -- but let's take a moment to point out that Bethesda employed most of the main people involved in creating modern VR, said they didn't care about VR, let those people work on VR in their spare time, then when those people quit and wanted to work on VR full-time, Bethesda sued them for "stealing" their IP (that they didn't care about) and now they're trying to do VR launches of their year+ old content? Oh, and they also just recently C&Ded an indie team with a game name that contained the word Prey because ????? Bethesda is a shitty company

Oh, also Pete Hines is an awful presenter who can't read a teleprompter and isn't funny why exactly does Bethesda have an E3 show? While I'm at it, the music and graphics for the theme park interstitials are awful and don't fit their content at all.

Skyrim Morrowind: Yes, this is already out and we already know about it, but thanks for showing YouTube reaction videos of the CG announcement trailer????

Paid Mods 2: Electric Boogaloo: This looks worse than the paid mod system they tried to launch 5 years ago on Steam.

Expansion to Hearthstone: Who cares

Skyrim Switch: I guess it's neat but this is like the 10th release of a 6 or 7 year old game now?

Expansion to Dishonored 2: This CG trailer looked OK, I guess?

The Evil Within 2: Kinda hard to get a handle on what the game is, honestly, but the weird genre-switching Duran Duran cover was weird. I guess this didn't look bad?

Wolfenstein II: The New Order: The alternate reality Nazi 60s seems neat but The Man in the High Castle did all of this over the last two years (including the "people on LSD during a nazi occupation" thing)

Overall 0/10; total waste of 40 minutes, no reason they couldn't just put the last three trailers on YouTube or whatever.

This sounds salty but I identify with it tho. I wish I had those 40m back.

In their defense, Bethesda didn't bloviate or stretch things out. They showcased their current offerings and what they've got coming out in the immediate future and got out of there. I would've liked more reveals but if they're not ready to announce, this wasn't a terrible way to go about it.

Okay, Sorry i'm not impressed with what they showed. This game comes out in less then 4 months. I was expecting them to show more in their announce trailer. TEW ended up being a huge disappointment to me and I was hoping they would really wow me with the sequel but then they show a 97% CG trailer for a game coming out so soon... No sorry... I can't get excited for that anymore.

They did, though. They recapped the last five years of Bethesda games and they made a reaction montage for an ESO expansion that already came out. Not to mention that half of their future offerings are either Skyrim or Fallout 4-related.

Good lord those tweets. He's probably just as drunk as some of the attendees, they were drowning in booze at the party outside before the showcase.

I liked this better than the EA conference and uh, the Devolver thing. It was a little dry and simple but it was also quick and to the point.

I didn't expect anything big either though.

They announce (out of the top of my head) The Evil Within 2, Skyrim for Switch, a new Wolfenstein, Doom VFR and a version of Fallout 4 completely playable in VR, in a short and sweet Show without any dragging and that's still not good enough? What is wrong with you people?

Didn't watch the previous two conferences but this one was dog shit.

The only worthwhile reveals were Dishonored 2 DLC (CGI trailer, yay), TEW2 (trippy-ass bullshit CGI trailer with dreadful music that put me off) and Wolfenstein reveal that they dragged out as much as possible with nonsensical editing.

The rest was just embarrassing.

Probably the shortest conference I've ever watched, yet the most insultingly boring. A true achievement.

No idea.

They did recap their latest games but so what? (Though a Doom expansion would have been good news)

They showed a new Wolfenstein, so it was a win ;p

What did you want them to show? Or even expect them to show? They are not a massive company, doing content for a their big franchise (Fallout), dlc for well received games from recent year (fallout, dishonoured), 2 brand new sequels to well received games (TEW, Wolfenstein) and talking about their biggest franchises recent expansion (elder scrolls).

Honestly apart from announcing ES6 there is basicly nothing they could have done. So I repeat, what did you expect/want them to do with the time they had?

It's the same games again and again, and not mostly what people want(Fallout and Elder Scrolls). I bet if that Starfield were real this conference would look better.

They actually did finally show some clips of gameplay for Evil Within 2 at the end of the trailer even though it didn't seem like they were going to.

I think the big issue is just that people wanted a Bethesda (the game studio) conference and instead got a Bethesda (the publisher) conference.

But I think the only new things that were announced that we didn't know were on the way were Doom VFR and the Dishonored 2 DLC. It felt more like a "the year in review" video.

Can't wait to see the system requirements for Fallout 4 VR. That game does, uh, not run well.

Nothing. This wasn't worth a conference. Don't show up if you haven't got enough material to last 20 minutes.

But now that they have the space for their own conference, why do they need to run for a arbitrary period of time? This way they have the entire say of when and how they wish to demonstrate their games.

They don't get sandwiched in with 40 other games. They get to show their games with pride. Not even mentioning what it would look like if they stepped away now, it would not look good for their investors or gamers for that matter. Showing that this year (if they didn't have an E3 conference that year) , they don't even think their current crop of hot new releases deserve their E3 presentation moment.

Please dont do that again Bethesda just announce your big games at other conferences and leave your dlc and zelda tie ins for the youtube trailers and press releases. Super hyped for evil within 2 and Wolfenstein 2 though both look excellent.

would seem like a better business decision to just do a direct like nintendo. There was nothing earth shattering here, and hines only came on stage twice(?), and basically said nothing of importance. Not really sure what the point of having a stage was for this.People watched a video for 99% of it

Not gonna lie that was my disappointment this E3. Doom vr looks horrible, Wolfenstein 2 is just... Yeah not for me. Switch Skyrim having zelda stuff was cool though. Other than that? 😐

edit: and PAID MODS goddamnit Bethesda stop

Sounds like good advice to me. I'm shaking my head at some people in here clutching their pearls, when we all know the bullshit that idiots spew out all over online message boards every single day, never mind just at this time of year.

Edit: I was quite disappointed with Bethesda's conference as well, but beauty's in the eye of the beholder, I was just hoping for an announcement from Todd Howard on what BGS have coming next. Sequels to The Evil Within and Wolfenstein don't do much for me, but if you loved those two then I guess you'll (quite rightly) be happy.
