This is gaf, where everyone hates M$.
But yeah there's no way M$ was worse than Bethesdas
Ubi is going to be the best conference. Believe!!!!
Todd Howard not even showing up was some bullshit.
There was gameplay in the trailer. Did you watch with your eyes closed lol?
I mean, it's not his fault the show didn't end up being what people online convinced themselves it would be. At least that's my take on what he means there.
8 seconds of .5 second long quickly cut clips barely register as gameplay for me.
Rule 1 of show and tell - only play if you have something interesting to show.
VR: Boring and uninformative presentation -- but let's take a moment to point out that Bethesda employed most of the main people involved in creating modern VR, said they didn't care about VR, let those people work on VR in their spare time, then when those people quit and wanted to work on VR full-time, Bethesda sued them for "stealing" their IP (that they didn't care about) and now they're trying to do VR launches of their year+ old content? Oh, and they also just recently C&Ded an indie team with a game name that contained the word Prey because ????? Bethesda is a shitty company
Oh, also Pete Hines is an awful presenter who can't read a teleprompter and isn't funny why exactly does Bethesda have an E3 show? While I'm at it, the music and graphics for the theme park interstitials are awful and don't fit their content at all.
Skyrim Morrowind: Yes, this is already out and we already know about it, but thanks for showing YouTube reaction videos of the CG announcement trailer????
Paid Mods 2: Electric Boogaloo: This looks worse than the paid mod system they tried to launch 5 years ago on Steam.
Expansion to Hearthstone: Who cares
Skyrim Switch: I guess it's neat but this is like the 10th release of a 6 or 7 year old game now?
Expansion to Dishonored 2: This CG trailer looked OK, I guess?
The Evil Within 2: Kinda hard to get a handle on what the game is, honestly, but the weird genre-switching Duran Duran cover was weird. I guess this didn't look bad?
Wolfenstein II: The New Order: The alternate reality Nazi 60s seems neat but The Man in the High Castle did all of this over the last two years (including the "people on LSD during a nazi occupation" thing)
Overall 0/10; total waste of 40 minutes, no reason they couldn't just put the last three trailers on YouTube or whatever.
They did, though. They recapped the last five years of Bethesda games and they made a reaction montage for an ESO expansion that already came out. Not to mention that half of their future offerings are either Skyrim or Fallout 4-related.In their defense, Bethesda didn't bloviate or stretch things out. They showcased their current offerings and what they've got coming out in the immediate future and got out of there. I would've liked more reveals but if they're not ready to announce, this wasn't a terrible way to go about it.
No idea. They announce (out of the top of my head) The Evil Within 2, Skyrim for Switch, a new Wolfenstein, Doom VFR and a version of Fallout 4 completely playable in VR, in a short and sweet Show without any dragging and that's still not good enough? What is wrong with you people?
Didn't watch the previous two conferences but this one was dog shit.
The only worthwhile reveals were Dishonored 2 DLC (CGI trailer, yay), TEW2 (trippy-ass bullshit CGI trailer with dreadful music that put me off) and Wolfenstein reveal that they dragged out as much as possible with nonsensical editing.
The rest was just embarrassing.
Probably the shortest conference I've ever watched, yet the most insultingly boring. A true achievement.
It's the same games again and again, and not mostly what people want(Fallout and Elder Scrolls). I bet if that Starfield were real this conference would look better. They announce (out of the top of my head) The Evil Within 2, Skyrim for Switch, a new Wolfenstein, Doom VFR and a version of Fallout 4 completely playable in VR, in a short and sweet Show without any dragging and that's still not good enough? What is wrong with you people?
lol. Saying "nobody is excited" about something a creator is working on, you deserve a smart-mouthed response. He's not excited and I'm not either, but that's not everybody.
Honestly apart from announcing ES6 there is basicly nothing they could have done. So I repeat, what did you expect/want them to do with the time they had?
Class act.
But now that they have the space for their own conference, why do they need to run for a arbitrary period of time? This way they have the entire say of when and how they wish to demonstrate their games.Nothing. This wasn't worth a conference. Don't show up if you haven't got enough material to last 20 minutes.
I think the big issue is just that people wanted a Bethesda (the game studio) conference and instead got a Bethesda (the publisher) conference.
