Persona Dance Revealed [Trailer]

that was thee most cringe worthy part in the game. not because of so called fan service but the fact that it was done so horribly it completely threw out what made the cast really approachable and sacrificed it for a generic jrpg fun quest .

im probably in the minority that actually preferred the less fan service of p5 compared to p4 (with the hot tub scene (2 in golden ) , the hotel , the kings game , etc etc )

You're not actually the only one who prefers less fanservice in Persona.

But guess what? I'm not one of them. Lol

There's a way to have classy and well written fanservice. It IS possible.

Anyway though. Yeah, that Hawaii trip in Persona 5 had problems. Various problems. Could've been alot more better.

So since there's going to be PS4 Versions... Can we get dance pads for these games?

Please I need dance pads for these games. I have a DDR shaped hole in my heart that Persona Dancing can totally fill.

I love Persona 4 Dancing All Night. I have no complaints about it as a rhythm game and thought the story was okay and better than Arena (both could have used a little better localization to remove the hokey parts.) I am super amped for both of these games and I would probably end up getting all four versions (especially if the trophies aren't shared.)

EDIT: Also people saying the remixes in P4DAN were bad never listened to Snowflakes and Backside of the TV!

I'll definitely get P3D. The soundtrack to P3 is one of the GOAT.

I found P5's soundtrack disappointing, but I'll most likely end up getting it.

P5 is still pretty fresh in my mind so I'll be getting the P3 one first. I like the music there better anyways. I'll get the P5 one later eventually.

Balancing it out is always great cause itll allow the game to have great comic relief unless the game is so well written that a character is constant comic relief throughout the whole game. i feel Yusuke's sassy remarks were always great and he felt like a early college version of myself.

maybe p5D and upcoming spinoffs will give us more fan service. who knows

I just keep thinking about the P3 cast and smiling. Persona is such a big part of my life especially 3, I'm just so happy. I'm sitting in this doctors office probably looking like a weirdo with this big dumb look but I don't even care I'm just so warm and fuzzy and ☺️☺️☺️

I'm not saying that P5's writing is without faults (it's certainly not), but the way you keep talking about P5 makes me think that you didn't realize that P5's cast is fundamentally different from the casts of P3 and P4 (and the dynamic between those two casts is rather different as well). The Hawaii trip probably wasn't even meant to show off the cast's dynamic in the first place, but nevertheless contains one of the best dialogues in the entire game IMO.

Oh, I totally understand that the casts have are very different between games. And that's a good thing.

That still doesn't mean the group dynamic of Persona 5 is always good or even somewhat consistently good. There's times where it was great and then there's times where it was bad.

But before we even go in depth... just what are you talking about with the Hawaii trip having one of the best dialogues in the entire game???????

I hope the selectable dancers are more than just the main P5 crew.

I want some of the confidants and other characters too.

I skipped P4DAN because I was never a huge fan of the P4 OST (sorry). I'll definitely get P5 DSN tho! Also I really hope they improve over DAN because apparently the scoring in it was fucked.

i died for your sins, and now i am back to party

no mitsuru no sale though. im sure she will be there anyway

Gameplay was great. Story was meh and there were a lot of different versions of the same songs. Still an excellent rhythm game tho.

It was this. Music and the remixes were actually quite good.

The dance game itself and the mechanics behind it are not that polished unfortunately. And the story and (new) characters are beyond awful.
I did see the new character in the vids. I thought she was supposed to be Nanako's friend or something lol, I didn't really bother looking up her backstory.

I need dancing Iwai with the gun shop theme.

Their names are spelled differently.

Not in the west they aren't.

The scene with Ann and Ryuji in the bedroom was pretty good. Don't take this out of context.

I wouldn't mind more slice of life moments in P5, but I also strongly disagree that the PT don't have good group dynamic. I think the bigger problem with P5 is that its "chill" scenes are too brief, while P4 would go into great detail to flesh out the interactions.

Ryuji and Ann talking at night was definitely among my favorite moments in the game. It's a quiet moment in an otherwise very loud game about very heavy issues. It wasn't about the Phantom Thieves or whatever, it was just two teenagers talking about teenager stuff.
There are quite a few moments like these in the game, and these are also the ones in which the cast felt the most alive to me.

Oh, yeah. That moment was great. :)

We need more stuff like that in Persona 5 Q 2.

Oh my f*cking god, just the thought of dancing to Whims of Fate makes this an instant purchase.
GIVE IN TO TEMPAAAITIIOOOOOOOOOONNNN

YEEEES

I was expecting a dancing game for P5 but not one for P3!! Always glad to see P3MC in more games <3 Both P3MC's and Joker's designs are great (thank god they didn't go with Joker's DLC outfit from P5). Surprised they went with the school uniforms for the character reveals. And also thanks Atlus for making both for Vita too. I need it nooooow

Hahahah, I was going to ask who the fuck would buy a rhythm game with P5's music. What a disappointment it was on that regard after P3 and P4.

All in all I think this may be a bit too greedy and may bite them in the ass. P4 had massively popular characters and amazing music. P5... not so much. And it has been quite a long time since P3.

Right, Persona 5 is only the most successful persona yet.

Yup, mine is when Yusuke is recruited and they send time together talking about their lives. Hoping for more scenes like that in the rerelease because we're definitely getting a lot more comedy scenes in Q2.

P5 has a lot of songs that are ripe for remixin'. Life Will Change, Last Surprise, Whims of Fate, Days When My Mother Was There, Price, Rivers in the Desert, Beneath the Mask, With the Stars and Us, Life Goes On, Layer Cake, What's Going On, Butterfly Kiss, and Sunset Bridge work really well for this. I'd also like to see some interesting takes on Will Power, Blooming Villian, and Demon of Lust.

My one hope is that we get Lotus Juice on some tracks. He'd fit P5's soundtrack really well.

ArcSys probably has their hands full at the moment. It'll be a while
Yeh I know they're busy with DBF —it's just funny because I've been hoping for a P5A with characters from 3-5 in Xrd's engine and mentioned it in a few threads. Had a small hope something would be announced even if it wasn't gonna be ready for a while. I also expected a DAN and a Q2... I don't think anyone was expecting 2 DANs to come out simultaneously though haha
