Trying to draw Minato with the classic Evoker (gun) to head look but instead of his Evoker... I wanna draw a Splatoon gun shooting out ink.

Prolly gonna hafta commission this but from whom....?

Highly biased since she's a friend of mine, but Wispy might be able to do a commission if you hit her up (she might be busy though).

Has anyone ever done Turf War to warm up, only to completely engross yourself in the mode, until you're satisfied? Lol

I myself use the original Splat Roller, and I get a lot of use out of the Curlers to close in and escape. (Helps that I have 3 Sub Savers and a Sub Up) You have to be sneaky with the roller to succeed.
I like using the roller too (curling bombs + ninja squid is a great combo to surprise people) but with the Octobrush I just do much much better with half the effort and whenever I face an Octo or Trislosher with the roller I feel like it's an uphill battle.

3 matches in a row with someone on my team with 0 pts. Does that mean they were afk? Disconnected? Regardless got my ass beat on these matches :/

That is a disconnect I believe. Sometimes you will even see them with 0 points but have a few kills.

I have a confession gaf. I'm level 29 in less than two weeks of playing and today on rainmaker I realized for the first time that you can jump to your teammates on the map at any time or position on the map. I thought you could only do it when respawning. Whoops

if the game blocked you for at least an hour instead of 4 min, im certain you'd see a lot less of this

The game only blocks you for 4 minutes!? A 2 match ban, that's it!?

The penalty for disconnecting gets more severe if you go through multiple disconnects within a particular period of time. The app tracks the number of disconnects you've had in your last 50 battles so that seems the likely window they're looking at when deciding this kind of thing.

Yup that happened to me. I've gotten a lot of disconnects. I don't know if it's my internet's fault, or the game's. I play in the same spots in my house, and sometimes I can go for hours online in handheld mode, and other times I hit a lot of disconnects.

So is it likely my internet the culprit, or does this game have a rep of having bad connections and getting dropped?

If you have that Power Smash special ability, you can do that while super jumping to your teammates in mid-air. It's nice because it reveals your location, and you have enemies gather to that location waiting for you to land.... and instead, you Power Smash them while they were waiting to get you!

When you guys are playing this shit-ass game do you also ever think like "why am I always placed on the losing team? Why can't I just be on the winning team ONE TIME?" or is it just me

I just killed 3 players with one charge of the heavy Splatling. That gun is a problem in splat zones. If I have decent teammates and noting that out ranges me on the other team its a guaranteed win.

judging by your comments in this thread i'm inclined to believe that you're the one who's underperforming

nah man current heavy is nerfed compared to its former self.

No because I'm not always on the losing team. In fact, I win at least 60% of my matches.
Do I sometimes get bad teams? Yes, but if you're never winning, it's probably at least somewhat your fault.
We all get awful teams. Often in ranked when we expect more of our teammates.
But not always.

A learning posture goes a long way.

But yes, what a shit ass game.

Nope, generally find I'm on the winning side more often than not. Except tonight, tonight was a rough night. I definitely was not pulling my weight.

I got a warning from the game when I connected to play online yesterday. The game warned that the way I ended my previous matches was "pretty suspicious" and that I may face a temporary ban if it occurs again.

I honestly don't know what I did wrong. Anybody else had this?

I just lived something special in rainmaker tonight.

We were losing with 10 seconds before the end, with the rainmaker right in front of our base. Well, we succeeded to take it back, thus forcing the overtime. For the next 2-3 minutes, we managed to slowly and painfully advanced towards their base without losing the rainmaker and then after what I felt was a surprisingly long battle we took the lead and ended the match with victory.

This game is so good.

Reading through the impressions here, it seems this game has a strong case of Overwatch teammates. In other words, they are useless at playing the objective.

That's why rainmaker is my favorite and most hated mode. Clutch factor feels so good when you win but its demoralizing being on the losing end.

You get that if you very disconnected from a match. I had to leave after a match started. My next time in got that warning.

This happened to me earlier today too. (except it only took like 30 seconds to get there :p)

Splatted the lone enemy 6 steps away from our goal, took the Rainmaker all the way to the goal in Overtime for the Win.

So immensely satisfying.

Yup. This kind of scenario can happen in tower control and splatzones and its amazing, but something about rainmaker, where it all pins very directly on one death and one death alone, when you pull it out....

Well... That freaking sucked. Was about to KO win, and I was feeling really good about my play in the round, but at 3 points away from the KO (enemies wiped) I got an "An Error has Occurred" message.

Tried one more round, it was a long, five and a half minute loss where we were behind all game.

Literally just stole my win away then gave me a match that did nothing but rub it all in...

I hate when a random squidbags me after their one and only kill on me (out of 13 total; I was Rapid Blaster though, so I zone), because I don't know if it's like, "Alright, a victory over them!" or if they're just a douche.

If it's the former, I guess I should be honored. If it was the latter, they just got KO'd on in the very next game, so all is right in the world. :)

You get nothing for maxing out at S+50 at all. ;-;

They should like... Give a lot of cash. 20k. I would say a Super Sea Snail, but that'd be a bit too much.

Nintendo definetely needs to fix netcode and matchmaking. Had to wait for around 4 mins to get a game going each turn and it was either timeouts galore (highlight was a game of me vs a full team) or super lopsided games where it was lobbies full of experienced players and ones that literally just started. Naturally whoever drew the latter ones lost big time. EU and turf wars btw.

Wow, what. I'm UK and play all the modes and have never had to wait longer than 40s or so for it to find people.

While long matchmaking times have happened to me a couple of times, 90% of the time it's nearly instantaneous and timouts/disconnects have been few. I've only actually noticed lag once too. Seems super solid to me.

I went like 7/7 on disconnects with salmon run then turf wars. the net code is a mess. sucks even worse when it punishes you in salmon run ranking

Anyone else having a super bad run on Salmon Run this time round?

Went down 2 rankings so far tonight -.-

I think stability is a bigger problem for me, getting kicked with no way return to the game is pretty annoying.

I put Switch on DMZ or whatever thing on my router, and my connection has been mostly fine, I can confidently say that my experience is about 1% disconnection rate. However, as a tech-scrub(I only know very basic stuffs), I have no idea whether this is a bad idea.

I got one ip for all my consoles and that one is put dmz, since 2000.Never really had an issue. The altrernative is to forward ports...
Best is always to use ethernet connection and to pput the IP in the DMZ

Had a rough losing streak last night. Thats the second time in about 4 days where i had a really bad one. Only had a few games with DC players too. Funny how that goes. Hopefully tonight i can get back on the winning side of things. I dont mind losing, but when you do it multiple times in a row, hurts the ego lol.
