Vegito played a much bigger role in Z than DBS, as such there's way more refences to use. Sure they could just make him SSB and use the same refences, but given how much care they're taking to make the game and characters look like the anime versions I doubt they'd just say "fuck it, just make vegito blue and use all the poses from dbz"

Ah, my bad. I worded it wrong. What I should've said was I'd have preferred they didn't take a slot. Don't think SSBs are that different from the other forms apart from power ups.
Unless I forgot some specific moves.

I don't think they're all that different either but I feel like they're probably there to pad out the roster. Don't have too big an issue with it.

Y'all is educating me today, thanks. Almost makes me want to watch DB Super, except for the fact that everything I read about the plot sounds like fan fiction, almost more so than DBGT. Are there also negative black Dragon Balls in this too?

I should probably talk about the game...it looks sweet but I suck at fighting games in general. I know people are worried about the roster list being wasted but in this modern age of games you have to expect there will be oodles of DLC characters, no?

He really didn't do anything in Z except fuck around with Buu and get absorbed so he could save the others. Which was pointless since all the people he did save died anyway when Kid Buu destroyed the earth. If you think about Goku and Vegeta could have gotten absorbed and just put a barrier up, and the end result would have been the same.

At least in Super, he weakened Zamasu enough for Trunks to destroy his body, which lead to Zamasu's eventual downfall. The Buu saga ultimately underscored cool moments by making them pointless only a few episodes/chapters later.

As much as I dislike Super, no way is GT better in any way than Super. GT was a clown show of relying on nostalgia moments to satisfy viewers, cheap plot devices, and just chaotically messy world building.

GT was just a flat out disaster and was made to be a cash cow.

While the fanbase is important, if popularity was all they were using for their character choices 16 wouldn't have made it.

Guys, chill out about 17 not being announced yet. They made his model...thats HUGE given how hard that is using the th style of uv mapping and shading. If anything I think it only confirms his inclusion coming later on which makes sense given how he barely fought in Z and most of his style is being created now in Super.

He has a green force field, maximum spider, and can stand on energy in Super and he still hasn't done a big signature move yet. I'd say 17 is coming. Better later than sooner imo anyway given how many attacks he's getting added to his style in Super. 18 didn't really do anything new though so yeah Chuck her in already. Doesn't seem like she's gonna miss any new moves if she never does any.

16 made it in mostly due to playstyle more than likely which is something we can say in his advantage compared to the U6 Saiyans. He's way more original and unique compared to them especially given one of them's literally a female Broly.

Thats a pretty good point. The way ARC works it would weird of they created an entire character model just for an super. I wouldnt count him out yet.

I didn't say they were going to be in the base roster, though. I don't see anyone introduced in the ToP making it.

Hope we get Hit, Whis, Beerus, and maybe even Jiren. That one is a bit of a stretch though.

We are not getting Jiren. DLC at best. Beerus, Hit, and Goku Black. That's all we can expect. I don't feel that they'll bother with Whis, he's too overpowered and doesn't fight.

Future Trunks
showed up DragonBall Super rocketed past GT. Heck, even the Universe 6 tournament was above GT quality.

GT's greatest sin was not bringing back Future Trunks. Would have loved to see his interactions with Capsule Corp President Trunks.

Man people are salty. Android 17 will undoubted be in eventually whether it's DLC or a new game. For an initial fighting game roster, 16 makes more sense. SSB Goku and Vegeta are a little questionable but I'm confident ArcSys will make their play styles different from Goku and Vegeta. After all, if they eventually put Ultimate Gohan in, they'll have to somehow make it so he doesn't play like any other Saiyan. Aside from Mystic, he doesn't have any moves that Goku doesn't already have. It's a shame they're not in their RoF outfits. I'm guessing changing their hair color and aura takes a hell of a lot less work than giving them new outfits.

Nice. I wanted SSB Vegeta, and man I wasn't expecting Android 16. That's a neat pick. Gives me hope that we might see some other unexpected characters.

Honestly do yourself a favor and watch BoG and RoF then jump into episode 28 of Super.

IMO it's a straight progression from DBZ. Nothing about it to me reads like fan fic. I'm someone who was VERY indifferent to Super when it was announced. Then I decided to binge it a few months ago.

I love it. U6 arc, future Trunks arc, and this current one have been great. So many new characters. I love it.

I called 17 being an assist for 18, but I can also see 17 being DLC with 18 as his assist. I also wouldn't be surprised if we get Super 17.

First 27 episodes of Super are just an extended retelling of those movies...and it's NOT GOOD.

After that its great
