How do you post in a thread about new information without reading the first few words in the OP?
I think some people just have a bias towards indie games and haven't delved much into the scene to realize why the bias is silly (as basically at this point, hating 'indie games' for being indie games is basically just hating video games, the indie scene is way too broad at this point to be generalized well). So the people are just shit throwing to try to voice their disdain with it, but as the dislike is built on false and ignorant pillars, the arguments in turn are false and ignorant.
I personally think this will end up being plenty like No More Heroes, Travis already was big on otaku culture, gaming, and nerdy things so I think it makes a lot of sense if he was sucked into a game world he'd end up in a lot of popular indie games. The series and especially the first game had huge retro game charm, so a new No More Heroes with more direct indie game charm I think is exciting. People are worried about there being interesting bosses, but I actually think Hotline Miami and Shovel Knight as the two we have confirmed could have some amazing No More Heroes styled bosses, and I get the impression the indies agreeing to be in this are open to going crazy with their IPs in this.
I think there's a lot of potential in this idea, I think some people think indie games will hold back what they love about No More Heroes, but I disagree whole-heartily. If anything I think Suda and those on-board are interested to go all in on this and it might end up being the best NMH game since everyone on-board so far seems excited, inspired, and tackling it the way they want to tackle it.
