Did you not like the 2018 game? Or do you just prefer the previous incarnation more?

I stopped playing after 10 hours or so and I don't even know why, just lost interest in the combat and gear part of it, even though I was really enjoying the presentation of as a whole. Big gaming regret for me, like RDR 2.

I'm pretty excited by this but mostly to give it another chance and finish it.

Thinking that sad is kind of elitist. Yes hopefully they become genuine fans who engage honestly with the preexisting fanbase. That is always the desired outcome. But you kinda gotta at least give them a chance first

EDIT: Or as Kuranghi said maybe you just didn't like GOW4? Fair enough if that's the case; still it's good for the fans and IP to get to more people who might actually really enjoy it. They should be allowed to have their fun.

I agree. The game did its job on PS4 sold a shit load and sold many consoles too. The sales are probably slowing down on PS4 so why not port it to a new audience and make some more cash, GoW deserves that and I would definitely double dip.

Yeah, I don't see why this is bad, imagine if Nintendo did this, seeing those games not covered in a million catapillars would be so glorious! They wouldn't be better games for it, but its like rewatching old movies in 4K, it just adds to the experience.

As you said console warring is stupid. If other platforms get to play it, that's awesome.

What people don't want is other people playing it, especially PC gamers who'll probably end up playing it with better graphics options. So they feel "betrayed by the corporation".

When Gears got announced and released on PC one year after 360 AND it even included an extra chapter in the game as bonus content, who cares. If they can play Gears at 60 fps and fight a Brumak as extra content, let them have it and have fun.

Imagine being a fan boy of a specific console and getting salty when an awesome game could go to a different platform and reach a whole other audience. It makes no sense to me. GoW was phenomenal on PS4, definitely my favorite exclusive by a landslide. If it came to PC, I'd sure as hell double dip. Just like I will be doing with Death Stranding.

I wish Sony would go full MS too. There are no negatives to it. Release day and date as consoles. There are millions of people for various reason that cannot game on PC, they will always buy consoles.

For Sony and MS, it opens a massive user base to sell these games and make profit. For gamers, it provides OPTIONS. All they need to do is make full cross play a thing even more going forward. This way consumers can play however and wherever that want to, regardless of plastic covered bits with logos on them.

Sony wins, because they can sell it for a new market, PlayStation fans are happy because they had this game to play exclusively for more than 2 years, PC only and enthusiast players are happy because they have a new game to play.

This is a win-win situation.

PlayStation get exclusives for two years, then pc gets the game. Console players are pleased and pc players too.
