It's going to be fun seeing people defend this:

Is that the Velocity Architecture on the trees or what the fuck happened there.

My thoughts of this presentation are

-Halo looks good but just that for those who say the Xbox one doesn't hold back anything I mean please stop, the main enemy is the same
of halo wars 2 which is good and bad but let's see how this involve.
-The Rare game could be good but I we need to see more.
-Ori to 120 fps 4k, yes thank you and yes this looks much better than any dolphin game but not Ori even when gorgeus is not a tech showcase
-Medium looks good and is using the SSD in a great way with breathtaking effects but the graphics are good just that, is okay
-Stalker 2 that is good but we need to wait a couple of years again to see it released (niche game so it's not very popular)
-State of decay 3 .... bro really
-New game of Obsidian is something I want to see but I want to see in real time but I am still excited, the worst enemy of elder scrolls could be here
-Hellblade ... see you in e3/summer fest of 2022
-Double fine is okay
-Warhammer was a CGI so not much to say
-Crossfire is okay but as we saw so few fragments of gameplay I can't say if is closer to current gen or next gen
-Fable good I expect great things from Playground but really cinematic
-Tetris is okay but the version of other platform will have the same and not is not graphics benchmark

The conference was just fine, too many CGI and looks like we need to wait a couple of years until we see the real next gen graphics in XSX but hey the old Xbox one
doesn't hold back the games ..... good joke.

I don't know but for me regarding next gen, if i see grass i want it to move, if i see trees i want them to move, if i see clothes i want them to move, i want the particles to bounce and above all i want the player to be able to affect and interact with them all.

Seriously? WTF

Man, I'm really gonna wait for the price tag now before I decide on getting SX. It's shiny and I want it, but...yeah. Get Consumers on Game Pass, then show the power of what you just bought to justify you spending the cash.

lol one of those is world of warcraft
lol the last one as well but that's the point

Play Ghost of Tsushima then and it is available rn in current gen but it's Only on Playstation:D

There noticeable and rather ugly popin and lods on halo. The ground textures look like a muddy mess past a certain distance. What the hell have they done to the one franchise of theirs I liked.
Yeah those pop-ins looked like the game is designed to run on HDDs and performing just like it even on SSD

So now probably Sony will not announce anything for a while.

This is sad.....

The event was not so good and I hoped to see games running Real Time and "captured in XSX".

And they mentioned things for hype like Unreal 5 and the amazing "60 / 120 fps", but...

And we clearly didn't see anything that shows the power of the SSD like the Ratchet Showcase.

When Jim Ryan said "We will let the games do the talking", he was right.

I hope Lockhart's event will be better than that, but nothing have surprised me so I don't have any hype for this.

I hope for Fable look that better as the CG at least.

But my great disappoint is probably Sony will not show anything for now...

"Xbone won´t hold back next gen!"

Halo just looks abysmal. Missing shadows (boxshaped-building underneath), low res-textures, etc.

image from 4K event, not 100% representative. Missing shadows though ...

I remember Df talking about rachet and clank, they made such a big deal about a box was missing a reflection.

I can tell you this, after this conference, they have found a god damn gold mine.

Is okay to desire something but in this case I need to defend Xbox, you can make your trees, grass, cloth with better physics but man
sometimes is not worth it, this is so stupid heavy specially the clothes that the devs use many tricks to simulate something close and they
need to be sure they put that physics properties in the elemen you probably will interact but you cannot go a make all realistic because
in any moment you will drop the framerate in a very easy way.

Doesn't matter how strong is your hardware any AA or AAA need to considered how much X thing will affect the performance and usually
you prefer use things which improve the gameplay, remember the gameplay is the king not the physics, not framerate, not the resolution
not even the graphics quality and as Halo Infinite runs to 60 fps you need to be even more careful you only have 16.6 milliseconds to have
everything ready for the next frame.

If the AI was improved in exchange of more reactive world I will prefered and also the anchor of Xbox one looks like is too much.

THANK YOU!

this is what im talking about. we hear this from him every year.

Don Matrick was better prepared for next gen than him. go back and look at the xbox e3 2013 conference. it actually had games and game demos.
They will make me miss Major Nelson proudly presenting the array of stickers you got with your Xbox One :messenger_sad_relieved:
